Same... no joy. I figured there was someone with a hidden camera pissing themselves laughing at me going wild-monkey on my ignition... Also, I don't think it's the headlights... it's your indicators that illuminate solid until you open the door, a la Vision aftermarket car alarms.

Hi guys. Long time! I can't say I'm one way or the other after seeing the pics. I love my phoon, and although I've been preparing myself for the inevitable "upgrades" that will make my brand new flashy car just another superseded model, it still hurts :( Ah well, at least it's not an AU Off to the motor show for a closer look-see for me. See you guys there!

I'd just like to say a massive thanks to Lump Doggy Dogg, Ken and Gary in particular for holding us all together. Wicked effort guys! It was great meeting everyone else, and thanks for a great weekend. I'm glad we were able to stay for it. P.S.: - Shazz is nuts. - Lumpy looks good in spandex. - Watch out for hiding corners that jump out and smack you on the front spoiler, particularly if driving a 'phoon. - Shazz is nuts. - If you're running on LST (Lumpy Standard Time) you'll still get there eventually, even if it is without lunch or devonshire teas. - The BBQUTE rocks. - Blonk's Edit works pretty well. - Shazz is nuts.

Gazza and Azza: I think the best bet is if you guys come up the Cumberland from Liverpewel, take the F3 exit, and then take the Berowra Exit off the F3. Go through Berowra, and on the other side, near the reentry to the F3, there's a huge truckstop. I was informed by a reliable source (lifetime Berowra resident) that this is the easiest way to do it. Still aiming to meet you guys there sometime between 4.30-5.30. Will have a more specific time later in the week. Oh, and Amanda and I will take a Krispy Kreme Sampler please, C.O.D.

I think you're the one with the vaseline - you've got it all over your hands from where you were trying to "convince" yourself that blueprint actually looks good.

I'm still open to either leaving Sydney at 2pm or 7pm Friday. Actually, I wonder if any others (grass, Gary and XR64T in particular) would be interested in finding somewhere halfway to all cruise together. I know this might mean leaving work an hour or two earlier, but if we go at 7pm, then Coffs will be midnight, and that won't be much fun :( Maybe something like 5-5.30 at Berowrah? That way if Gary gets off the mark on time (or even half an hour early?) and XR64T waits around for an hour or two, that's three of us. Grass, buddy? Get out of work early? Thoughts? (This is just a suggestion )

I must say that I'm with Mr Utey on this one. Examplis gratis, the other day I changed lanes (I'd been indicating for nine or ten seconds and the b**ch wasn't going to slow to let me in, and my turn was coming up) in a somewhat... assertive manner, and all it took was a modest squirt on the pedal in 2nd (at about 50km/h) and the action of changing lanes, and the back end decided to misbehave fairly reasonably. I would call the situation I was in a pretty normal and frequently occurring one, so I'd say that the F6s can be dirty little tarts when they want to be. (Yes, I caught the back end, yes we all made it safely through everything, yes I was wearing a big grin on my dial, and yes I still had time for a mild remonstration towards She Who Wouldn't Let Me Merge, and No, I wasn't being a hoon or a dickhead at the time. I was attempting to exercise my legal right to request a merge into another lane and was denied.)

Nice work bud. Hope you enjoy it! Are you in Sydney or Brisvegas? If so, you should join us on the cruise to Coffs this coming weekend! The traffic will be sufficiently bad (thanks Mr Carr) that you'll be ok breaking the motor in; cruise here, bit of a squirt there. By the time you get there, your break-in period will be done and you can have some fun on the cruise sections :w00t: Not to mention the fact you'll get to meet some good members of our community! :gossip: Shameless plug written & spoken by me, authorised by him, for the Cap'n Lumpbeard for PM campaign, somewhere in NSW.

Please don't call it Black Betty. Every riceboy and wannabe with a black car calls theirs that, and we're so far above that it's not funny. Christine is a good starting point. Or, Stally. Black stallion... stallion... mustang... mmmm (Mine actually gets referred to as 'Unspoken' by anyone that knows/cares about cars)

Nice work mate. If you weren't in mexico, I'd say swing around and we'll go carve it up together. Ah well, maybe one day

Sydney (and Peter Harvey... Canberra) drivers! Who is up for the early drive, who is up for the late drive? (with times as preordained by organisers) C'mon, speak up. I need to know, coz if there's nobody doing the late run, I can probably shifty Friday arvo off and join the early mob.

My gf is female, last time I checked. So is Glenn's mum That's a start Shazz.

This is all I know (as I only found out because it's a Qantas Frequent Flyer promo;) here's the email in its entirety: If any FFs missed out, now you can enter

OH OH OH OH OH! For any of those interested in the rugby, the Wallabies will be holding a training camp in Coffs on the arvo of the 19th. I know we already have stuff planned, but hardcore fans of the game the play in heaven might have to be in two places at once It's somewhere in Coffs (haha, I know) and the guys will be dining at the Novotel Pacific Bay on Sunday night. That's all I know for the moment.

The sticker on my fuel door says 'Premium Unleaded Only.'And (while not wanting to start the 4723472347239847th fuel debate) my car runs better on Optiblax fuel, meaning I use less, meaning the cost difference is negligible.

Ok, ok, ok. As I promised Cap'n Lumpbeard, we booked today. Confirmed. Friday night at the Aqualuna, Saturday at the Pegasus. Oooh, and we got the only spa at the Pegasus Motel on Saturday. According to the woman who took my reservation, "we won't be sorry." She of course says this without knowing any of you deviants and what you'll probably do to try and get into, or what you'll do while you are actually in our spa. Dirty bastards. Shame on you.

Yup Gaz. The Telstra-sanctioned installers (the Telstra shop gives you their card when you buy/get a carkit from them) offer a "hole-free" mounting solution, and I believe their spiel mentions Falcons and Crummydores specifically (being two of the main business/fleet cars in Aus). I'm sure they said it comes in the form of a clip-in rather than a bolt-in dealie.

If you have a Typhoon (judging by your avatar?) it'll be addressed by the same TSB that covers the clutch replacement. They replace the oil in the gearbox (not sure if it was Transmax Z, but must be similar). No rattles any more here; was rattling until the very second I dropped it off at the dealer beforehand. (I can't get over how much they cleaned up all the little niggling issues for my Typhoon in one fell swoop... go FPV! This is how the car should've been six months ago.)

Same. Thanks Mr Blown for the wishes, and happy birthday to shazzlet, turbo6 (...and freddo?) and also my dad for tomorrow (he fears the computer, so you won't see him on the forums...)

All I have to say about that is 'Thanks Ford.' Thanks for designing a car that keeps people safe from (most) idiots (idiots inside Fords included.) I know you can destroy any car, no matter what make/model (five years in a major urban fringe Fire Brigade tells me that) but it's good to see that they'd most likely have walked away from that - maybe some leg injuries to the front passenger? Nice one, Blue Oval.

Oh yeah. They've done some good things with the clutch fix, or as we dubbed it today, Typhoon Service Pack 1 (for those in the computing/systems field ) It feels tight and together, and while the clutch is way different (less play, quicker uptake) I think it'll be better, especially for quick shifting of gears when you're really accelerating. I'd go so far as to say that it feels like it did 6000-7000km ago (mine just ticked over 10k taking it to the dealer). I truly can't wait to take it for a real squirt on some 'private roads.' Couldn't squeeze much out of the service guy as to what they actually did; he'd only go "it's all in there" (there being a photocopy of some GoAuto article that we've all read and has no technical detail ) but did agree that it was clutch, tailshaft rebalance, gearbox oil change, ECU remap, front hose clamps "plus other stuff." Ah well, I'm just happy to have my baby back after five weeks of an XT and a Terry TX.

Pencil me + 1 in for Sydney group #2 We'll have to go home on Sunday arvo but ah well. Caveat: may have to cancel attendance at late notice due to recent health problems (aren't I too young for that sort of sh*t?) but am going to really try to be there (I owe it to my baby after she's been locked up at the dealer for over a month... grr FPV). I'll check out the accommodation tomorrow to be 100% sure.

I'm contemplating the acer PD523 ($2100) or the BenQ PB6210 ($2400) because they're more in my price range. Both are DLP, and both have a contrast ratio of 2000:1, with 2000 lumens brightness. Not bad for the price. I know they're both technically "data projectors" and neither are native WXGA, but they both have reasonable reps. You guys out there got any comments or suggestions?

As does my 'phoon. Not that I can check to confirm that, because I'm driving a f*cking rental Falcon XT, which, of course, doesn't have side airbags. Or a -whine-pssssht- either. sh*t.
