Just a number. I want to run about a 11 down the quarter. What sort of power would I see with 60 pound injectors, fuel pump, 4" dump, 4-5" cat, twin 2.5" exhaust and a tune???? that's what I want to mainly do. Then just have a all round awesome car. But I dont want to buy something I cant really do up for fear of stuff breaking =/
Cheers for that guys. So there is probably no point in me buying a pre 06/06 model??? I found a bf turbo I want to buy but its a 06 model. It has everything I want in it, Just not sure on the month. Other then the parts being stronger. Is there much difference in the price? Or are they worth upgrading? Im wanting to be pushing 350-400 rwkw. Other then that its still a 6 speed zf box.
Hey guys. Now I know that any bf xr6 turbo built after 06/06 is better even if its still a mk1. Is it only because of the typhoon internals? What exactly does it have over pre 06/06 models? Is there really much of a difference? Cheers guys.
Its a ford dealer ship. And they said it comes with warranty. Would be good to have warranty for a little bit then start to do it up. Dont have to worry about buying a lemon or anything cause it will be fixed.
This car seems to of had upgraded suspension. Not sure if that's because its an ex chaser? I have looked around for 2 months and this has finaly come up. I offerd 17500 but he recons he wont go any lower then 18500. I hate the waiting game!!!!
It doesnt have premium sound of duel climate. Just a normal bf but with a 6 speed and 2.73 diff ratio. As for the body. There was major. Just the usal little things here and there.
Hey guys. Have found a bf turbo with 110 thousand kays. Its a 06 bf 6 speed and was built after 06/06 They want 18500 for it, But it needs new rotors and pads all round plus oil hasnt been changed in 6 months and has done about 10-15 thousand kays. The other thing is, Its an ex cop car. Was a cop car for 60 thousand kays. I test drove it and it falt solid. Gears were smooth, Take off was great. When I put my foot down it just went, No hesitation. Is it worth it?
Stupid Iphone... Sorry about the spealling mistakes. After having an XT for 2 years this turbo falt alot heavier. Is this because of the bigger gear box and the suspension? My xt is pretty much stock exsept for the exhaust and CAI. When going around corners in this turbo it stuck to the ground and I swear I could have gone faster. Thanks for the reply John. I never thought of it like that. that's a very good point. They do get serviced alot as well.
Well one thing I was thinking. Being a ex chaser it falt like it had stiffer suspension. I went through a round about pretty quick and it just stuck to the ground no problems. After having a xt for 2 years the turbo flat ALOT heavier. Is this because of the suspension? And tr bigger hear box n bigger diff? Cheers for the help guys.
Hey mate Well the history I sore of it. It was traded back to ford after 62 thousand kays and this guy bought it. Its done 110 thousand kays and last service was 95 thousand. It doesnt have any damage inside of the car like some ex cops do have. When I drove it. It pulled really hard. Just go go go basicaly. Im really concerned about the turbo that's all. As for the ex cop car. Im not to sure about that. But lots of people seem to have no problems.
Well just a look at one. It sounded a tad funny where yhr turbo was after taking it for a drive. I turned it off the opened tr bonnet to listen to it. It was spinning fine just sounded like a little rattle. Not sure if it was the heat shield or the turbo. It drove fine though. Didn't miss a beat n spooled nice. Any ideas?

Yeah no doubt, My plan is to just refresh everything. Engine oil, diff oil, coolant, trans cooler, some other maintenance tips I have found on this forum to do with solenoids I think they are? Plus TB clean out. Thanks for that mate :D
Cheers for that mate. As for diff oil, Doesn't the whole cradle have to come out on the sedans? As for plugs. Do the coils over the plugs just pull up? Or is there a certain way to get them out? And is it just a deep 5/8 socket with a magnet or rubber to get the plugs out? Any plugs recommended? Thanks mate
So what other brands of pads are there? I do hate how dusty my bendix's are at the moment. Cheers for that man. As long as I dont get that stupid check engine light ill be happy haha. So can I change the cat to a 100 cell or 200 cell with out the engine light coming on? If I leave the cat back stock. Any cats recommended? Any cats I can buy and just bolt on my self? So I can avoide paying someone to do welding. I do like to do as many things as I can my self. Also I think I will just get the center muffler removed for now then if the cat back is good up to the 300 mark. Will do the muffler and cat make the check engine light come on? Hey man. Where did you get the cooler from? Have you noticed any gains? Also how much did it cost you? What is the hot and cold side? Im a noob to turbos haha
