  1. I will have a think on it. I will probably get the eBay 460 assembly and be done with it. It’s been off the road for over month now so a couple more days waiting for it to arrive won’t matter thanks for taking the time to type that out for me
  2. Thanks mate I thought I had done the right thing in terms of future proofing the fuel system by getting the 525 drop in, regulator and wiring kit My mechanic ordered a standard assembly from repco yesterday that should arrive on Wednesday. I could return it and get the drop in instead but I had actually bought a 460 a few years ago and never used it. Would it be a case of switching the pump that comes with the new assembly with the 460 I have in the garage? edit: reading some other threads I think if I switch the pumps I will need to dremel the housing bit to fit the larger pump
  3. Thanks ke1th and puffwagon for responding and doing a deep dive for the other threads. I can always bank on this forum having the answers to specific questions I will get onto that this week and sort it, I think a surge tank will be the go from the sounds of it. Just wondering if you have a recommendation for the size/shape of the surge tank. Would something like either of these two be okay for what we are talking about? I can’t really afford something like a plazmaman or process west unit at the moment
  4. Hey guys, I’ve had an issue with my Ute where it drives fine but comes up with fuel system fault but goes away. New Year’s Day it didn’t start at the shops. Towed it home and left it for a week and then it started but then wouldn’t start again after I turned off and on a couple times. November 2022 I had a fuel pump assembly and a wiring kit installed. I did a search today and read on this forum that a 525 will/can melt the standard wiring without the kit so having it installed makes me think that’s not the issue. Today my mechanic and I pulled the tank out and found a melted connector. These are the two parts I had installed (November 2022): https://www.spoolinboost.com.au/product-page/upgraded-fuel-pump-wiring-loom-for-ba-bf-fg-fgx https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/292706252256?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=qmGIti0ORkS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=fmDNhWGtSG6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Not wanting to knock any brands/companies, just wondering if anyone has any ideas or has had any similar issues. cheers and have a good weekend
  5. I had forgotten that about 2 years ago I have swapped from the mk1 headlights to mk2 with the wiring kit to fit H7 bulbs. Remembered that just now and have removed the two 15 amp fuses in that wiring which has stopped them coming on but still have the issue as now I have no low beam. Thinking it has got something to do with the added wiring from the swap.
  6. Hey guys, I did a few searches and couldn’t find anything with the same issue. Last night I was taking out the turbo intake pipe and saw that the low beams were on and turned off by themselves. It’s not on the auto setting. Sometimes just the passenger side would come on and then both for a while and then off again. They keep intermittently doing that but not always just the one side, not really any pattern to it. I pulled the low beam relay out and still the problem persists. I disconnected the negative from the battery last night and then reconnected this morning but it had already drained so it doesn’t have enough charge to start. I’ve bought some new globes but I don’t see how they would be the issue if they still light up. Video is showing the issue: the lights are switched off but the passenger side turning on and then me switching the low beams on and then to off to show they both stay on. To confirm at the end of the video the lights are switched off. Has anyone had the same issue or have any ideas? Hope I’ve posted to the correct area. Cheers guys IMG_0298.mp4

  10. Its second hand, I contacted them but they just refer me to different stores they may have the part. It seems to be a hassle to get these. Is anyone wrecking an FG Ute that would have these parts?
  11. Hey guys, I have bought an EGR hard cover off the net but it doesnt come with the hinges or bracket, It has the hinge that connects to the hard cover itself but not any of the other parts needed. So my question is, where do I find these parts and would you know of a price range it should be? I tied searching the forums for a topic similar but couldn't find much. Any help would be awesome! Cheers, Callum
