  1. AAMI, Apia, Bingle, CIL, GIO, Insure my ride, Just car, Resilium, Shannons, Suncorp & Vero are all owned and underwritten by Suncorp Insurance. All have very different PDS and entitle you to different things when making a claim. It may be worth checking these before comparing a low $500 excess & premium to others. As when it comes to making a claim, I believe preferred repairer, genuine parts, hire car option all matter for the sake of $100-200 a year. I know I have peace of mind knowing that my pride and joy want be heading over to the local sausage factory for repairs.
  2. Happy Birthday JET50T!

  3. 19x10 +15 started with a 275 rear and swapped to 245 rear. Still scrubbed badly. Did not have camber arms though
  4. I haven't driven a modified auto so hard to comment but on E85 its not different to the stock baby turbo. Drove a customers manual yesterday and mine felt just as responsive. I wouldn't really hesitate going something bigger again. Going back in the next few weeks for another fuel pump. Cannot fault Joes work and customer service.
  5. Still stock motor, only springs done. Just have to be weary of limiter. Spring combo is SSL and SSSL with Koni Reds. Its not ridiculously low as its still my daily. Thanks for the kind words!
  6. As above said. PDR requires a lot of hand eye coordination and patience. You ll buy the tool have a go and regret not getting a professional to do it. Shouldn't be more then $100
  7. Only a few supporting mods done. Dual diff bush upgrade kit and 1000hp tailshaft. Had it tuned on E flex as well. Made 502rwkw pulled back to 496rwkw. Need another pump. Cant praise CMS and their service enough.
  8. Like others said good detailing work isn't cheap. Any Joe blow mobile detailer can swing a buff over a car, making it look good for longer then a couple of weeks and not coming up with swirls and holograms takes some skill/patience. Need to have them see how bad your car is first, to see what it needs. Im in Parramatta at a smash repairs if you want to stop in for a quote
  9. Sorry to inform you but you car was assessed. It was just done online. When the repairer sent through there quote and images, a assessor desktop assessed the damaged, made his adjustments and sent it back to the repairer. No insurance work is carried out without an assessment & authority. Unfortunately your car being out of warranty the repairer will depending on the insurance company be asked to use a recycled bonnet. If they are allowed $300 for this, they should have no problem in you paying the difference for xr8 bonnet. I think aftermarkets run for around $400ish and are of decent fit these days. Just ask them to trial ft before paint. Genuine Xr8 bonnets list price is something ridiculous like $1800 so they cant sneak that though either. These days most insurance companies quoting and assessing packages check the repairers part number and price against the dealer prices to confirm your not pulling there leg. Just talk to your repairer before and make sure your not sent to a rapid repair faciltiy.
  10. I have this setup with Cat600 front bushes and there is quite a bit of NVH. Must make a difference having the Nolathane front bushes. Very solid though. Also if you do ever decide to go back, the diff mounted bracket welded on to the rear crossmember is a $20 part. Have replaced them in a few Falcons and Territory's hit in the rear.
  11. Haha Steve the tool man. Always giving him heaps about his Evo. I just had a SMB rear muffler fitted to my x-force SS 4inch system. Has made a big improvment in noise levels and sounds deeper at idle. Still has to carbon up a bit more as well.
  12. You mentioned you like to take extreme care of your car and your shopping around for the best quote from a touch up guy? Take your car to a reputable shop and pay to have to done properly if your after a good result. All touch up guys will only be blending the bar on the car with most likely use acrylic and will end up looking sh*t. Blood orange can be a difficult colour as the red pigment bleeds out of the base coat. Repair and paint for that shouldn't cost you any more then around $600
  13. If they don't want to repair it. Just get cash settled and visit a few panel shops and have it quoted. Front bar can easily be repaired or a exchange item used. Just have the panel shop pull and square up the front tie bar and have a new radiator support installed. Unitary operation for the support shouldn't be over $1500, Repair and paint front bar tops $1000 and $500 to square up the front reo. Pocket a bit of cash and everyones happy
  14. I have one, very nice unit however it emphasises all of Fords tolerance noises.
  15. You can do that but it depends on what the manufacturer uses to seal the lights. Has obviously changed between B series to FG. Had mine in oven for over half an hour at 150 and couldn't split them
