  1. Prolly get in to Perth on Sunday.
  2. Hahaha tryin to be grown up n s**t. Not working really well. At least tryin to stay away from engine mods for a while. That is a bottomless pit of money wasting. At least with these I can get some money back on them eventually or make my car more appealing to sell. The missus actually said to get them because it'll make me keep the car for a while longer before I trade up.
  3. Well I just spoke to the seller and he doesn't reccomend going 10" rims on the rear of a bf sedan. He reckons I'll need guards heavily rolled, very good suspension and a sway bar to keep them from scrubbing. What have other people done to get 10" rims on the back of b series sedans?
  4. Wish I lived in a place that had stuff :( would be awesome to actually fit some wheels and see. I think they'll need the dish to look tough
  5. Hi guys I've just been looking through heaps of wheels and came across a set I really like but they are G-max brand. I've not heard much about them and I searched for them on here with very few results but they are a WA company that gets wheels made over seas. Soooo I'm kinda skeptical about the build quality of these but I love the look. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/20-G-Max-Chevron-2-PEICE-ALLOY-WHEELS-CLEAR-HSV-FPV-BREMBO-BRAKE-STAGGER-/270887943756?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f122dfe4c#ht_2603wt_1037 Also what tyres can fit on a 9.5" rim and tuck a lil bit. I'm happy to roll guards if it'll help my cause. BF sedan currently on ssl kings rears but will go sssl kings if it still allows me to get out the drive way Cheers
  6. How did the more expensive stuff go compared to the cheapo stuff for ease of install and overall finish?
  7. Listen to the reviews on this forum. He's a great bloke to talk to, very helpful, buuuuuttttt I think he needs a diary or something.
  8. I can barely hear my alarm from inside my own house.
  9. Does your car have a sun roof? I'm wanting to remove mine to sound deaden but it feels like its just the cloth and I'm worried that when I remove it I'll f*ck it. Any tips on this?
  10. They are very nice sounding subs, I've only had them in for a week and first impressions are VERY punchy and can go very loud. My only issue is the box they are in, bass overtakes everything else on notes around the port tuning frequency. EDIT: Boot space? The box only fit in by about 10mm at the top when I removed the rear trim piece and it had to taper from 820mm at the top down to 760mm on the base so it would sit in the well and also to fit it in the boot opening. So much wasted time building that. Oh well, its all trial and error.
  11. 2 x 13's FTW!!! vision blurring bass :sungum: But honestly I got these and I find in the JL spec ported box the very low notes are abit too much for daily listening..... but when it gets cranked its a blissful feeling. Im building a sealed box to flatten it out when I can be bothered
  12. I have a bf foon with 4 potters, my missus has a bf xr6 and the difference is so great even she can tell. Much prefers my car.
  13. +1 for budget for sound deadener. I did 1 door this weekend, used 2 sheets of dynamat and a few small pieces of 3mm MDF. This did the outer & inner skin and used the MDF to seal up the service holes (duct taped it in there), taped all the wires down and secured all the rattly bits. Well worth the time and money. the difference in sound is very noticeable. I'd leave the factory rears in and get better quality fronts as the you wont really hear the them. I have Alpine type X pro front splits with an Alpine PDX F6 amp running them Bi-amped and I'm really happy with them. No rear speakers. Although they are a fair bit more than your budget. I'd get a 2ch amp about 75w RMS, a decent set of splits (what he ^ said are all good brands and look at hertz too) and 4 sheets of dynamat. Run factory rears off your source unit.
  14. Looks mint mate. Wish I could fit my subs up the back like that but 2 13" subs just don't fit.
  15. ^ Interesting. How does that work?
  16. that's where im going Id rather not pay all the labor to get them done when I can do them myself. The boss is on my case about "wasting money on that farkin car"
  17. Hi guys As the title says I'm after peoples experiences with late BF and Typhoon valve springs and them going soft. How many km's, how many KW, how much boost? I'm heading down to Perth at the end of next month and am contemplating doing them before I go just so I know they'll be good for all the new killer wasps. Cheers
  18. Whats the best thing for removing old paint? Stuff that wont attack the core.
  19. prolly got twin 044 pumps and 2000cc injectors too
  20. I gotta hand it to ya, I love the approach you've taken to this. On a budget but putting in the effort to get the absolute maximum from your money.
  21. How much deadener did you use to do the boot like that?
  22. Somebody needs to mount an iPad into the factory facia already!!! Problem solved.
  23. I'm fairly certain that, that will send voltage back to the ICC causing problems
  24. The pxa-h800 is the top of the line and has a head unit sized controller that can be also tucked away if you want factory look. Look it up on you tube to get an idea of what it is and does.
  25. People normally install head units because the ICC sounds sh*tty through amps and farks with the sound to suit the factory speakers. If you wanna use the ICC I'd suggest a sound processor such as a Rockford 3sixty or alpine pha660 I think it is. They sound very good.
