  1. Dodged my cash jobs for this weekend so I can fit some of the parts I have stock piled to my car. Bilsteins, brake pads, diff seals & oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, strut bushes, service, trans mount, bulk pack of dynamat, relocate battery to boot, run new wire to speakers, build new sub box, and tidy up stereo wiring. Once I have all that installed I can start buying new things
  2. I always think about selling my car. But I know I would feel the same way. I would hate to see someone else thrashing and slowly destroying my car.
  3. Freight! Freight is pi$$ing me off. Ordered and paid for overnight freight from Perth to hedland 3 days ago FARKING!!! I want my bilsteins FARKING. Also coventrys is pi$$ing me off. Same problem though.
  4. They are identical to the wheels I asked about on here about a month ago to go on the same car. What colour is your phoon? Almost identical
  5. Work for BHP in non production infrastructure. I'm the only fitter on our team so should be right..... Famous last words hahaha
  6. Job cuts currently being done on site and sitting here waiting, hoping to not be called into the office. Fairly confident in my job but the uncertainty is painful. NEED JOB TO MOD CAR!!! NEED JOB TO PAY FOR CAR!!! NO MINING JOB = PRACTICLE CAR.
  7. Pi$$ed me off I only just found this Also trying to uploading images to paypal just so I can get my money
  8. Cheers I'll keep that in mind if I have any further dramas.
  9. I think the extra torque would definately play a part. I remember reading through a few of the higher power cars build threads and seeing a few having trouble keeping it bolted in.
  10. Dunno if the bolts are tty but got replaced because they where FUBAR. I'll try my luck with the original flex plate this time. Once I'm back home it's not that much of an issue to replace with a substantial item. Atomic ones are the way to go are they? Just for people's knowledge the symptoms where a rapid onset (literally less than a few kms between hearing a "new noise" and developing to a point which I wasn't going to drive any further) of a horrible metal rattling noise kinda like a loose exhaust shield or dislodged cat which reverberated throughout the engine bay. Which didn't change when in neutral drive and reverse if it was under 1050rpm. Once past that noise disappeared.
  11. What torque do you do em up to? Or is it FT with thread locker?
  12. Hi guys As per the title my flex plate on bf f6 came loose yesterday. So we pulled the box out there seems to be no damage. Will I be able to get away with just replacing the bolts or have people had problems just doing this? The ford dealer says they replace the shim behind it but we don't have a new one and I'm sorta short on time. (was traveling home from holidays so very far from home and supposed to be back for work on Monday). Cheers
  13. Bf f6 Auto 2006 Yes & BA xr6 Auto 2003 Yes
  14. Sounds like bilsteins it is then!!! Have you seen the steel bush part of the top strut mount wear out and cause knocking noises?
  15. XFT do ID1000s with flash box and tune and a few other things (gap plugs and change thermostat and tighten clamps etc) for 2400 I think from memory. 2800 seems a bit steep, buuut they may be doing something else.
  16. I thought it was shock. But when stationary and rocking the car it sorta sounds like it comes from steering rack area. The shocks are lovells eliminator and are about 25000kms old. My initial thoughts where either strut top mount or shock but after removing and disassembling RHF strut and found nothing sorta moved my focus elsewhere. How can I diagnose a lose shock piston? When they where apart I couldn't get any noise from it. Are bilsteins much better than lovells for ride comfort? Who's a good suspension mob in Perth? Wa suspensions?
  17. Would a worn steering rack cause the described problems?
  18. Yeah mate. Be there Sunday arvo hopefully. Pm ya number and I'll give you a call when I'm closer to Perth.
  19. Decided against getting any rims for a while. Too much uncertainty in the mining game at the moment. People being made redundant left right & centre in town, 100s at a time in some cases. Money is better off in the bank for a while.
  20. Cheers ill check them out
  21. yeah did them, super pro ones went in.
  22. Hi guys Just need some expert opinions. I got a BF sedan and done all the bushes F&R with super pro, also did ball joints. Didn't do tie rods. This was nearly a year ago I did the front. Over the past few months it has been developing a sight knock. It sound like it's coming from RHF Its more prominent the slower you go, over about 50 it doesn't make any noise. Brakes don't affect it Even the slightest bumps will produce the noise Cant find any play in anything when its jacked with weight off the wheels Sway bar links have no play when car is flat on the ground (that I can feel with just my hand in there) I thought it might be the top strut mount, I pulled it out and had a good look at it and couldn't find a definite fault although the noise sort of changed but returned to normal shortly after. So any one have an idea on what my knock is? I need help, it's so freakin hard to inspect suspension components on a driveway with a lowered car. cheers
  23. Is that with a 275 tyre Worm?
  24. Mine has close to 130000Ks. Hasn't missed a beat. I replaced all suspension bushes, shocks, ball joints, springs, all oils, tidied up a few things and shes a really good car now. Bought it at 99000. Good servicing plays a big part in what it'll be like.
  25. Next sunday
