  1. I will try and upload a photo tomorrow. I assumed it was a bf because FandGkeytogether. I think xr & fpv springs are same same but fpv body kit hangs lower. It looks OK but I would love to go lower all round but because daily, not gonna happen. I been contemplating going to sssl rear with my sl fronts so rear wheel sits further into guard than front. ATM they about same. EDIT: good shocks will greatly reduce scrapage
  2. Those are the springs I have in my bf. It is lower than std fpv height but I wouldn't mind a bit lower in the rear. But then it'll probably scrape in places. Mine doesn't scrape anywhere.
  3. Could try bleeding it Edit. Depends which end its at
  4. Depend what the money matters to you. I just made the decision to spend around that amount on my bf f6 as opposed to upgrading. I'd rather the extra 13k in my pocket. Takes me too long to save that amount. If I was richer I'd have a FG gt or f6 in a heart beat.
  5. I've thought about doing the same but unless you have money to burn I'd stick with the BF. FG may be a nicer car but a typhoon has an aura about it. Everyone knows them, they go really well, and look better than FG imo. Spend the 7g and you'll have a car that feels like a new one.
  6. Very similar to my mods that I'm doing at the moment. I've got ID 1000 injectors (your tuner will recommend what they know best) and std f6 airbox. I've just bought a 2nd hand nizpro exhaust and a new nizpro stg1 cooler kit (was tossing up between PW stg2 and nizzy). Got a walbro pump also and getting waste gate done. Tuner said to expect around 330rwkw. I would have just got a dump and cat to bolt up to std exhaust but this one came up so jumped on it. What you should get depends on how far you want to go in the end. All my mods will accommodate what I want down the track.
  7. Haha so many parts must get sold on and on before fitting. Not this time for me. Got exactly what I wanted and no reason to not fit them. As long as ore prices are good the money will keep coming in. Keeps me happy with the car too. Costs too much to change cars.
  8. Thanx Ralph. Ordered the nizzy one today. Very happy. Now the long wait for Easter till I get to Perth. Got a nizzy exhaust and cooler to go on and getting waste gate done. Definitely not putting it off this time.
  9. Been thinking about it and for now I reckon I'm gonna cut down the std HS pipe use a short piece 2" stainless pipe with a 2-2.5" silicone adaptor to adapt the std HS to the nizzy cooler. Do you reckon I'll have any dramas doing it this way? I don't know how to tig so will have to make friends with a boily or boat builder before I upgrade to GTX
  10. Hi guys About to purchase an intercooler and tossing up between a PW stg 2, and a Nizpro stg 1 with the big big cooler. What I want to know is what have people used for the hotside on nizpro cooler? If I get this it has to be the big big cooler. What puts me off the nizpro hotside pipe that they sell is it won't join straight up to a GTX which I'd like to upgrade to when my turbo finally gives up. I have a rapid systems hot side pipe kit that I'd like to use but they said it doesn't fit well with the nizpro coolers so it will need mods to work. Either this or an adaptor to join std pipe to intercooler inlet. Or get nizpro hotside and adapt to a GTX when the time comes. So the question is, what did you's do?
  11. 2.73 zf equipped turbo 3.23 ba 3 valve v8 3.45 5 sd M & 4 sd A turbo 3.73 6 sd M turbo
  12. Mine came loose at 270rwkw. As I was in a hurry I just replaced the bolts and loctited them in. Still holding on after about 6000kms. I have little confidence in it lasting though.
  13. I think its a DJR skirt kit. Looks like stick on front and replacement side and rear skirts.
  14. I reckon black with dba T3 rotors all round would look mint.
  15. Thanks for the help guys. Tossing up between doing them black or red. Decisions decisions.
  16. I had a pioneer one in my car it was a tight fit but I didnt have to cut anything. Got annoying though.
  17. Hey guys Had a bit of a search but couldn't find any thing about repainting Brembo's. What have people used to get closest to the original finish? Where can I get a brembo stencil from? Seen alot of XR calipers painted and don't really like the finish of them. Just bought new rims so really want to finish it off with nice looking brakes. I was thinking of getting them blasted and properly spraying them but I'll take the easiest way of getting a good outcome. Cheers
  18. Fitted my earls oil line. Left one fitting loose under the intake manifold. Drove 20kms. Run it outta oil. Had no phone or wallet or money or shoes as I was just test driving. Had to go into the store I stopped in front of to borrow the phone. Then had a mental blank and nearly forgot my missuses number. She came, I fixed it in the shopping centre car park. Drove home shamed out. I learnt your never to smart or too old or too experienced to leave something loose 100% of the time so always check your own work. P.S. Cars still going strong even after also running the gear box outta oil, this wasn't my fault. Rock on road met plastic pan.
  19. Well. I must say that the alpine software was not the problem (sorry alpine co). It worked fine for me today on my 64 bit windows 7 home premium computer. Since I first tried to do it I've done a factory restore to my computer. Installed the alpine software, plugged it into my car and it worked first go without drama. NO running as administrator, no virtual windows, no hassles at all, took about 10 mins from starting install to having it running in the car. Butttttttt the outcome on sound was less than impressive, actually quite disappointing. I have read that it can take alot of fiddling to get it to sound good so it may be my fault again and I may need to put more time into it. Its not a plug and play type thing though. Needs either alot of time or experience with the product.
  20. Good thinking. Mine is in the recall criteria so might hit them up about making a deal.
  21. I'm gonna get in contact with the sunroof mob and see what they reckon. Just gotta remember during the day to call them. Might even get a quote of them to do it.
  22. Oh well at least now I can stop worrying about it and get on with getting some music back in my car.
  23. Spewing. That piece behind the sunroof is prolly the worst piece in the whole car for resonance. :-/
  24. My bf has a proper fpv badge on the grill?
  25. Bumpidy bump bump Anyone got any ideas?
