  1. Well I finally got around to doing it last weekend, was a bit of a PITA but what a difference it makes! Well worth every dollar and every minute spent doing it. It actually feels like the rear end is properly attached to the car and not sticky taped in like it used to. It totally transformed the feeling of the car under power. NVH increase is almost negligible. very happy little camper with it now. Would recommend it to anyone! One more tip for anyone doing this is don't break off the bloody counter weights on tailshaft bolts like I did.
  2. Hi guys Just wondering if anyone knew what exhaust has "turbo tuff" written on the first muffler. Its a twin 2.5" cat back exhaust on a B series. It came on the car. Cheers
  3. Tickets, anything to do with working on site. Make friends with people who run the show. Apply every where and keep going back hounding them regularly. Be warned though, be prepared to forget everything you've ever learned about working hard and relearn to do f*ck all and be treated like a child
  4. Fark yeah. I can't wait to get rid of the ugly crossover. I think the nizpro plenum and rocker cover garnish has also grown on me after seeing them when all painted up too. Next round of mods I reckon
  5. Just rang nizpro. All piping locations are the same but diameters change throughout all the models too. I'm thinking I'm going to go with piping straight to throttle body and 4" air box. Does anyone else other than rapid do a kit for this?
  6. So it is one of their tube and fin. Is all the pipe work interchangeable with the newer style cooler?
  7. Well if the coolers are interchangeable with the piping I'll get a nizpro plenum and air box. If not I'll probably go with the rapid piping and sell it when I decide I want more power. I got it for a good price and I reckon I'l be able to sell it off again as a kit for close to what I paid. I dont want to spend excessive money on parts I'll have to replace if I want to go higher. I'm after flexability to upgrade ron. How do I tell the difference between the bar and plate and the tube and fin? I bought it under the impression it was the "big big" core as I didnt know they did a 2nd gen and was sold with the stg 1 piping I wouldn't mind a 50kw gain on 95ron. What will get me there?
  8. Is that when you's upgraded them?
  9. as per the title im chasing peoples experience with these coolers? Being nizpro id imagine it would be good enough for average power (mid 300s) Cheers Chris
  10. Somewhere on the DLM site they say they have a replacement that uses the factory internal waste gate but its still under development. I was hoping its finished If its the one that uses the external gate and the prices are similar I'd go the DLM turbo kit. They have a variety of turbos that can fit in these kits depending on your application and the external gate provides better boost control.
  11. I'm interested in the two as well. Is the precision turbo setup that utilizes the factory waste gate or the one that runs an external gate you's are talking about?
  12. Advance themselves said they're a 4.5" 100 cell cat.
  13. I got my little 6t press off eBay for $165 delivered to port hedland via TNT. I was stocked with the buy as freight alone would have been close to the purchase price I reckon. I have a 10t jack if I need to get serious though Thanx for the advice too EDIT. will I lose any diff oil when I pull out the axles? I'm guessing no but will need to get it before I start as the only shop that sells the right oil is closed on the weekends
  14. I've got SL/ssl springs in my bf foon and it's a good low. Looks alright and very rarely scrapes any where at all. I wouldn't go any lower if you don't want it to scrape everywhere.
  15. ^ I meant the control blade bushes
  16. Alot of auto & tool stores stock SP tools. If they don't have them in stock just ask about them - slip on seat covers
  17. hahaha yeah there's normally alot of swearing done when I'm doing work in my garage. Its so frustrating, since I've had a car I've worked in workshops and been able to do my work there. Since starting work on a mine site a year ago I've had no workshop :( Almost tempted to go back to slogging it out every day just for use of the workshop facilities. I have pulled them out on the floor twice before with alot less tools so shouldn't be too bad....... (famous last words) I've heard that the control arms can take a fair bit of pressing to remove, do you reckon a 6t press will get them out?
  18. Hi guys I'm finally getting around to doing the rear bushes on my bf this weekend. I bought the bushes, sway bar links and a press . So what I'm asking is, is there any secret tricks that will help or is it just mark where the cradle sits prior to removal, mark the camber adjusting bolts on the hubs, measure the diff bushes installed depths and press out all the rest of the bushes and reinstall in reverse order? They're all super pro bushes too Cheers Chris
  19. HI guys Who would be interested in a group buy on Advance dump & cat pipe to mate up to the stock exhaust? They make a 4, 3.5 & 3" dump with the respective 100 CPSI cat pipe to join to stock style exhaust. I have no price yet but have spoke via email direct to advance and they sound keen on the idea. All we need is someone in a city (preferably Adelaide to minimise costs) to collect and forward them on from a distributor (they may even do this for us, I'm unsure as yet). Advance don't sell direct to the public but said they can organize a distributor for us. Cheers Chris
  20. Received an email from Advance Headers today. They said these are a 100 cell 4.5" cat. They where also interested in hooking up a group buy. So, who else is keen on a BA/F dump & cat?
  21. Make sure he removes the stock filter in the banjo bolt at the engine filter end too, or it defeats the purpose as this is what blocks up and causes turbo failure
  22. Sounds like sway bar link bushes. If so easy to do. no pressing
  23. Ive got an SP one. Same as the snap on ones but cheaper to buy an dont have to chase down the snap on man. Goes on when im dirty and comes off when im clean so you dont end up dirtying your clean clothes.
  24. according to this sale they're 400cpsi. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BA-BF-turbo-xr6-falcon-performance-4-dump-pipe-and-cat-/300567855611?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45fb3d81fb#ht_3702wt_1139
