  1. Was just the speedo. Will take to mechanics for scan tool today hopefully

So story goes, had just started driving home (8-10km drive) and noticed the speedo wasn't working (km/hr), then when I was nearly home the etc light came on and it went into limp mode, luckily I was only 1km from home, so I just limped home. Once home I turned it off, locked it, then unlocked it and started it, it started fine, I reversed down the driveway and drove back in and everything is working fine again. Does anyone know what's going on? Will be seeing a mechanic 2moro, last service was only 600kms ago, battery and alternator replaced about 5000kms ago It's a bf2 f6 ute. Any help will be mu hoy appreciated

I can get a 500cui big block from states from $7000 upwards, 550hp+ I have been a member for 4 years and I know the rules about posting, hence why I have posted this in the general discussion section for discussions on any ford whether it be a turbo or not. Perhaps yous should get your eyes checked. I will be seeking out a engineer soon enough, but was curious to see if anyone knew of someone having done this before. The xg was the first xr6 (1993-1996) Will keep this updated if all goes ahead
  5. So my F6 ute is up for sale as I am wanting to buy a xg xr6 ute and drop in a big block. Does anyone know how big I can go and still be road legal, as I will be driving it weekly. I will be probably buy an engine from the states.
  6. I have a set of 4 bf2 f6 twisties 19's I want to sell. 2 have slight gutter rash and 2 are good. 2 tyres need replacing and 2 tyres are near new. Just wanting to know what a reasonable price would be? I also have a 5th which I was going to keep as a spare, has good tread but slight crack on 1 spoke, crack does not go all way through though.

  8. I also have this. I just did the 135000km service on my 07 f6 ute, all new oil, replaced a transmission mount bracket, and front bushs. All engine mounts are fine as well as all other brackets. I have no idea what it is??? will keep investigating though

  11. hello, I have the exact same problem as you do mate, my box was built by gilroy's it Toowoomba with a 3000stally, they have completely pulled the box apart 2 in the last 3 months as I keep burning out the band in the box. they have replaced solenoids and valve bodies and it is still doing the same thing, am going back to my tuner this week to see if there is anything he can do about it. I will let you know how I go, and please let me know how you go.
  12. yeah, I would love that, except I drive this on weekends and its mainly on the highway in 100km zones, so powerglide dont have enough gears lol
  13. hmmm, well I'm taking it back to the tuners next week, and money is very very tight at the moment, will keep you guys posted on the outcome though
  14. yeah I dont race the ute at all, and I dont do burnouts and when I do give it a squirt I always use manual mode, the tune is a good tune and I havent been over 150km/hr on the road as of yet, will be looking further in the tune next week to sort it out, otherwise will be gonna do a c4 in the near future, or sell the ute lol. the box was built buy gilroys in Toowoomba
  15. I can get the 6 speed and computer and harness for around $3000. my 4 speed is completely uprated, and has a trans cooler on it, am running 315rwkw and about 900nm. I keep burning out the bands so its gonna still cost a fair bit then with alot of mucking around?

Hello, need advice asap, I have a 4speed auto in my turbo ute and its completely uprated and am still having issues with it, wanting to know if I buy a zf 6speed auto with computer and harness, will I be able to bolt it straight in and tune it and drive away, or will there be issues with the LOOM????? abs sensors etc planning on buying the 6 speed this week, before it gets sold, its out of a tyfoon.
