  1. With the brake & suspension combo, along with the nice power delivery it will be a pretty decent car for barbs. Throw some proper rubber on it Arron & I reckon you'll dip into the 68's around long track!
  2. Of course Footwear of champions...
  3. Anything above 60 on the short is pretty slow. My auto F6 was doing consistent 58's & I'm a drag racer, not a circuit racer I vote for a split track, ie. Short & long track over the day in sessions.
  4. Prepped track will do f*ckall for you in terms of traction if you run street tyres. All you will be doing is tearing up the start line & wasting the layer of VHT for the rest of us... If you want grip & want to go fast, open your wallet & buy a pair of ET Streets. $500 isn't expensive when they last you for 3 years... Just ask Brendan
  5. Any generic coller will work, then just buy a sandwich plate for between your filter & block + some braided hose/fittings to suit. While you're at it, you could also mount an oil filter relocation kit. Makes oil changes piece of piss as filter is located at top of engine bay
  6. CAMS day license is cheap if we need one, but I'm pretty sure the private days are not CAMS affiliated as per Motorplex & ANDRA on private days... Maybe Simon can chime in & give some details as he has organised a few of these days before. Possibly even run it through XFT so it can be written off against the business, rather than no tax benifit for anyone... Also, put down spots for Ross, Esky & Adrian. I will confirm & post back whether they are coming or not asap.
  7. Track will be in good shape tonight as there is a Test & Tune on today. CALLING XR6TEGO BRENDAN!
  8. So long as that is stated in the beginning, there can be no whining later on. Also, make a definite date from day one. If you start trying to please everyone, you'll do your head in & most wont front up the coin anyway. I suggest some time in April/May, before the bad weather hits & enough time for people to make arrangements for time off etc. Payment deadline by end of March or so with a deposit up front.
  9. Someone take the reigns & organise it, just request a $50 deposit upon registering interest. I have tried numerous times to get things off the ground on forums & you can pretty much count on only 30 - 40% of originally interested parties coming through with the kesh. I'm confirmed for whenever Pretty sure Arronm is in the same boat as me There's 2 out of 20
  10. Gates open @ 5pm Scrutineering between 5pm & 7:30pm Racing between 6pm & 10:30pm
  11. Barbs is aroung $3k I think. Never hired it personally, just going off what I remember people saying... Works out at $150 per head if you get 20 interested.
  12. Gold chain & bracelet were left at home as I was in a mad rush Friday arvo trying to get the car ready. Probably why it dropped a tenth off previous pb!
  13. Yes I do, $200 & they're yours... Almost brand new I ran DEKA 60's in my F6 & it ran a 10. They're plenty big enough for a car running upto 400rwkw & much nicer at idle than the 80's I'm told.
  14. 11.04 @ 122mph Friday Night, new PB! Also made it to the semi in OZ EFI before breaking out with the above time on an 11.07 dial in.
  15. Pretty sure Chippa is looking at something a little more nostalgic than the plastic super taxi. Non-FPV spec
  16. Owner driver of the silver tornado is Luke, Rob's partner at Monsta Torque. I was driving the dark green VX Calais with Weld Prostar rims.
  17. 11.19 was the best I could manage last night with shifting problems. Cable decided to stretch on the first run, meaning it wouldn't play nice going into & staying in 2nd gear... Sixty footers were all 3 - 4 hundredths down on what I usually run at WAW so the potential for 11.0's was definitely there. Next Week!
  18. UHF's are dangerous & should be left at home. As bad, if not worse that speaking on a mobile
  19. :idunno: Take your knickers off & get down there! I'll race you NA to keep it fair, but after march 31st it will be Forced Induction
  20. You know what I think of your tuner... Just don't like recommending him without knowing availability as he's usually off saving the rainforest & such
  21. Economics 101, basic supply & demand principles. Lower price, higher volume > higher price, lower volume for maximum profit in most examples. Gets a bit more complex when dealing with specialty products/services such as performance tuning & product retail as manhours can be eaten up quite quickly, turning a highly profitable job into a loss.
