  1. Do you have the graph from the 98 tune ??
  2. That's for that ratter I tried searching the part number on garret / Gcg and nothing came up
  3. Got the actuator off part number ended in -17 and had another one that ended in -7, both Garrett items.... On my bench they both opened at 15psi but the -17 was far smoother and had a much longer stroke, the spare -7 I had kind of didn't creep just sprung out suddenly like it was sticky and then didn't really open much So I put the -17 back on Adjusted the pac performance "bolt on" bracket for a more direct action - was also there -7 actuator that was rubbish Then got some guidance from the legend that is wombat bellend and made the port on the housing even larger and smoothed out all the inner radius, stripped another exhaust stud once everything was together on retorque Pulled it all back off - sump to oil return gasket tore Ford had just closed Autobahnzzz, super cheap and repco and auto one spare parts people all looking at me like an alien when asking for the gasket I needed Bought some gasket paper and made my own Heli coil in the head Put together Drove to autobahn Bought sausage at sausage sizzle Bought boost gauge Installed in car park aka hose from engine bay through bonnet, routed through window into cab and gauge sitting in lap 200km /h in 4th on private road boost gauge in one hand No over boosting Thank you bellend Dyno tomorrow
  4. Okay it did have a part number on it I'll check tomorrow when I pick it up
  5. And yeah 1/2 hole is what it's set too
  6. This is supposed to be the genuine garret 11.8 psi item that's what I ordered and what the receipt says
  7. Was on dyno today briefly, under boosting sorted, now over boosting issue with new turbo/housing/wastegate Dialed in 17psi would make it until 3800 then 20psi by 5000 till red line I bench tested the actuator would open at 15psi on any preload setting, I set the preload to about 3mm used to compressor to push rod onto waste gate, which was the least preload to make the valve not spin on the housing when I tried. Could still move the actuator rod by hand if hanging off it, way easier than the turbo smart set up But I read they use much less preload than the turbo smart part. The flapper valve is a 38mm item and we ported it slightly smaller than previous housing to try keep some more meat to prevent cracking this one. Does it sound like I set the actuator up right ? Good chance I'll have to pull off housing and open port up some more ? It was d-shaped like shown on here. Guess I'll be in shed all weekend But it did make 400rwkw on 98, reduced timing 17psi building to 20. Which is a start haha

    Gtw3884R

Those results would only seem 10-20kw tops more than gtx35s on same boost/fuel

Jet look on the pac performance site or the xr6 turbo developments site , they are the only two places I know selling them complete, Gcg will just be selling the supercore - you'd have to machine your rear housing to accept it
  10. awesome effort mate that is massive power for the street, and pretty low boost to get there - must have some room left in it
  11. Wasn't the tuners fault - last tuning session cut short due to a boost issue/mechanical problem so tuned best we could - got bored one day and started this thread - got some good advice and found the problem, always wanted the bigger turbo and once the 76 sold the swap cost me a couple hundred plus the tune, car was apart and had to retune anyway was kind of two birds one stone.
  12. Yeah I'm not saying it's bad - I wanted the power to shift higher In the revs, the 76 fell over to early for MY liking
  13. Picture of the bay yesterday after installing the gtx3582 dropped it off for a tune this morning on 98. Initial thoughts - this thing is quiet and wasn't feeling much torque under 3000rpm - mind you was only cruising to the workshop.
  14. That's common if your port job is dodgy Fitted the new set up today - hopefully tuned tomorrow or Friday
  15. Paint them black ? why would you hide brembos.... Pretty sure everyone that paints their standard brakes does so because they wish they had brembos
  16. Hey mate, awesome effort have followed the build for years
  17. Hey pep, do you think retorquing the head down more will effect your tolerances? seeing as it was all measured with only the 100nm or too miminal too worry about?
  18. Have the KPM 1000hp fuel module, KPM 1000cc injectors, KPM reg, went together super easy, anyone could do it, its set and forget really, Made nearly 500rwhp on 98 and 18psi - looking to step up soon with bigger turbo and e85 and except it may need bigger injectors but will handle it fine. Takes care of the fuel pressure without needing to go after market rails or regs, keep engine bay looking standard, couldnt be happier unless it was cheaper/free. The supplied data with the injectors means it takes only moments to get it idling and running sweet.
  19. I had that fault come up when my old BF xr6t jumped a tooth, only signs were a slightly hunting idle otherwise drove fine
  20. I work away so nothing happening this week- get back mid week and will be picking up new housing and turbo to assemble and put it all back together - hopefully tuned before the weekend
  21. So is that a definite NO on the VDO 02 sensor? I am having the same code every few months
  22. Awesome time mate, shame about the silicone joiner- atleast its an easy and cheap fix ! Car looks tough on the race fronts
  23. That flow data is bigger then the gtx45 I was looking into last night, geeeez that 47 would make it move haha
  24. If you are saying why not something in between, on paper the gtx45 will "only" flow another 200hp more, Wouldnt be worth changing potentially turbo, manifold and waste gate, screamer or plumb back, oil and coolant lines, intercooler piping and intake, heat protection etc andddddd why not try crack 1000 With the amount of boost and e85 used pretty much anything will come onto boost quick enough
  25. Took a deposit for it yesterday mate off another forum member - will be in touch if anything changes
