cheers mate I might leave it as is use all these tips and see how it goes , I guess a rebuild is cheaper than a conversion.

already got a trans cooler on the ute never goes over bout 180 and when it gets to 180 I take it easy , so do you drive in 60 zones in 3rd ??

xr6t_ute what have you done to your 4 speed ?? im going to see how long I can get out of it, I will be changing the gearbox oil every 3k with the motor , what would do less harm to the box driving in performance or manual shifting when having a squirt?

gday guys want to make my 04 mk2 ba turbo ute reliable as it is a daily driver , after posting a few topics on this site I have discovered the 4 speed auto will not last once my ute it re tuned to its full potental hopefully around 350kw @ treads , so my question is who has done the zf conversion , whats involved and $$$ to complete the conversion. cheers maso

looks like it is real dyno performance for the tune , is there tuner good with the 4 speed autos , want it to last while I save for a 6 speed conversion...

its a daily driver so powerglide is no good , have got a transcooler on the car atm previous owner serviced the box with the engine every 3k I am going to do the same as well , he reckomended redline oils ??? after tune it should be around 350kw @ treads so hopefully it will hold up for a while , what oil are you running in your gearbox worm ?

could anyone recomend a gearbox , im not fussed on either auto or manual, what have people on this site replaced the 4 speed auto with, it will need to handle around 350kw. cheers maso
