  3. G'day all I have a 2003 XR6 Turbo sedan, T5 box and a massive knock in the rear end (how uncommon ). After changing every bush possible, (and due to some diff whine) I decided to "upgrade" to a BF Typhoon diff centre and halfshafts. The main issue is the size of the input flange on the BF diff being slightly larger than the BA. To overcome that, I intend to swap the rear half of the tailshaft with one from BF XR6T. Has anyone done that before and if so, did it work? Secondly, there seems to be a lot of complaints regarding the rear end knocking noise and not much in terms of solutions. So far I swapped springs, shockies, all bushes, in fact I am on my third lot of Superpros diff bushes (the stiffest ones you can get this time), whiteline swaybar and links, spring cushions, wheel bearings, new brake calipers, park brake shoes, etc, etc.....I still seem to have this most annoying knock on the slightest of bumps. I have two theories; 1) the cv joint on the tailshaft (near the diff input flange) is buggered, hence I'm going to try the BF tailshaft half; 2) lowered springs (kings SSL) cause the slip joint in halfshafts to bottom out at the wheel hub end, causing it to rattle and knock. Before anyone suggests, I also checked the spare tyre, fuel tank, parcel shelf, seat belts mounts, speakers, boot trim, boot hinges, seals and stops, exhaust, exhaust mounts, bumpers and panels, guards, fuel filler, bloody everything! If anyone has ever solved the BA rear end knock f**kfight please post your solutions/suggestions below, with the amount of cash I spent on this, I could have bought an imported car like a VF Holden. Cheers
