Hi Jamus, You've picked a good starting point for modifications to your new car. As we all know the combustion engine is just that, an engine that requires combustion to create power, to create combustion we require three things, #1 Fuel ,#2 Heat, #3 Oxygen, which comes in the way of, #1 Octane rich PETROL, #2 Spark from the plugs and #3 Cold air. take away any of these 3 things and you will have no combustion so it stands to reason that the more of these 3 elements we can fit into the cylinders at any one time and then compress them it will result in a bigger, more efficient explosion inside the cylinder. Two of the easiest and cheapest ways to do this is by way of an exhaust and cold air induction as you want to get the air in and expel the exhaust gases as quickly as possible. One great way to realise this is go for a run with a straw in your mouth and try to breath in and out only through the straw, then take the straw out of your mouth and feel the difference of being able to breath more easily, the combustion engine is no different as the more easily it can breath the more easily it will make power and the more efficient it will be. Also the colder the fuel and air is the more dense it is, which means you can fit more into the cylinders at any one time that will also help gain a bigger bang. I would recommend and this is only a recommendation, something like our Growler box for example (only) that uses non-conductive materials to eliminate heat soak, as I also don't recommend the Big Mouth and will be discontinuing it soon as the manufacturing costs are very similar and the Growler gains twice as much performance with actual dyno figures of 16rwkw gains and customers reporting fuel savings of on average 100km extra from a tank of fuel, but this is only a suggestion and you should do a bit of research till you are happy with the decision you make as at the end of the day this is your car and your hard earned money you will spend on it.
