  1. Yeh mate they are a stronger unit. I spoke to ford today and apparently the ba xt through to xr6T have the same valve springs (weak) whereas the xr8 has stronger ones which are the same spring which was fitted to every other falcon from ba II onwards (including typhoons) up to fg. so if you have a ba I, upgrade to a set of FG fpv springs for around $20 a spring
  2. I had the same problem in mine about 2 months ago, cleaned the throttle body and the intake manifold with Nulon upper engine cleaner (the one you spray in via a vaccuum line) Solved the problem straight away. Kane
  3. Thanks Pete a. I shall do those tests tomoro. When you refer to the plug at the back of the unit for the sub, are you refering to the 5/6 plugs along the bottom of the unit or part of the BEM plug at the back? And fordriver I also thought there but there is a harness of around ten wires coming out of the amp. Surely the sub itself does not need all this wiring.
  4. I have an '03 XR6T with premium sound and recently noticed a laqck of bass. I checked for power at the sub with a test light and there is nothing, no9 power at all to the sub Looked through all the fuses and are all good, I actually couldnt find a seperate fuse for the sub but all fuses are good. I even resorted to the owners manual but still nothing. Everything else seems to work fine as it should just no subwoofer. any help would be greatly appreciated. Kane
  5. my manual 03 T does the same thing, it has unichip computer, exhaust, injectors and CAI. when pulling up to a set of lights its almost as if you have to catch the revs before they drop off too far or it will stall
