hahahahaha Ike funny story bout that... didnt even know the launch control existed till about 4 days ago haha so spewin it would hav been a big help on a sticky track! is your ute Manual Ike?

stock manual fg ute on street tyres @ WSID on 9/3/11 60' = 2.203 1/4 = 13.61 MPH = 105

did a 13.6 @ 106mph at wsid in my manual fg ute standard. did 13.6s and 13.7s all night.. the track was sticky as that night so I was pretty hard on the clutch off the mark and flat changed 2nd.. felt abit bad by the 6th run lol.. as for the guy sayin he saw one running 14+s, its so easy to do as soon as 2nd breaks traction its a 13.9 to a low 14 straight away.. good going on the 12 mate! top time!!

Taking the BOV off will definetly make the flutter sound louder but its not very healthy as this sound comes from the air being forced back out the turbo wich is still producing airflow itself, hence slowing the compressor wheel down extremly quik.. the BOV is there for a reason and that reason is obviously not to make noise. instead off removing the BOV just try only lifting your foot off the throttle just unuf and you will find a nice balance there where you can get the noise your after

Would it be a good idea to open a new topic on this launch control business? or just keep talking about it even though it has nothing to do with the original question? im not being a smart ass its just that ive tried to find stuff on here because yes just about everything is covered but its often covered on topics that are completly of topic to what I am looking for.. if that makes scence?? just saying..

if u cant do a line locker in a manual fg T ute then your doing something drastically wrong.. done it a few times and never had a problem.. although in saying that it doesnt like starting in 2nd.. go first then second..

hey, didnt do anythn real special just launched at about 3300-3500rpm, its unuf so it didnt bogg down but didnt wheel spin to much either.. I was flat changing earlier in the night but from 1st to 2nd it just kept frying the tyres so I went abit easier with that gear change and ended up hooking up alot better in second and running alot quicker.. no problems with flat changing 3rd all good there... probably wont be there this wensday but maybe in another month or so as I live on the central coast..

went down to WSID last night and ran my Manual fg turbo ute, its stock standard ran a 13.6 @ 106mph.. is that about what it should be doing???????
