  1. Hey guys, got a autometer cobalt boost gauge. I'm just wondering if anyone could give me some tech-know-how. I've got the vacuum line running into the cabin, just absolutely, no idea how to connect this line to the actual gauge. It seems the vacuum line provided is the exact same diameter as the Ferrule thing that came with the kit. Cheers
  2. Spotted 'Skello' Kwinana south, just passing Canning exit
  3. Is the ABS light coming on when you're braking hard from 100+? Does the TC light come on when the power is cut?
  4. I've decided that I'm going on this cruise, no matter what. Bout time I started to meet some of ya's.
  5. Thinking I might go to the ACE cruise with a couple of mates.
  6. Spotted Fulwood just off Manning rd, nice silhouette XRT.
  7. I think part of passing your drivers test should be going through an advanced course where you have to avoid obstacles in the bad conditions; ie. Oily, wet road. I have always said that they should also teach people how to drift. Last year when two girls were killed in a car crash because they over-corrected around a corner, confirmed my theory. Of course, a hell of a lot of people are not going to agree with this, it is just my thoughts on driver training. We should be learning from the Europeans; instead of shielding learners and p-platers up from speed and fast cars, we should be teaching them how to deal with it. The money being made from revenue raisers like multi-novas should be put into making our roads better and safer, for eventually making them like the autobahn. I have to disagree with the comment "Speed kills". No, speed doesn't kill, it's incompetence and over confidence that kills. If you are travelling at 100km/h on the freeway, you're not speeding, if you fall asleep at the wheel and die, it's not the speed that killed you, it's your incompetence to remain aware whilst driving a vehicle.
  8. Far south would be good if you were wanting to work at the drags or be there every night, but theres nothing much else down there, unless you want to work in Mandurah or Rockingham (Which I wouldn't suggest if you can avoid it) I'd be looking at somewhere like Como, it's 5-10 minutes out of the south of the city and it's easy public transport to get to the CBD. If you wanted North, I'd be looking at Churchlands, Subiaco, Nedlands. All these places, are again 5-10 minutes out of the city and are easy to get to places via public transport. Depends what you're after, finding a full size house in these areas will cost you an arm and a leg, if you're after an apartment, for yourself and your partner (if you have one) these areas might be suitable. If you are looking for a full size house, somewhere like Churchlands or Wembley can be good, if not maybe a bit further north, like Karrynup or something around that area. It does all however depend on your budget and your opinion may vary completely to mine. Maybe a bit more information? Where will you be working? Are you looking to rent or buy? EDIT: Just saw the above post: Hmm, maybe somewhere like Yangebup, off Stock road somewhere? I dunno, that place is pretty industrial.
  9. Just wondering if the guy in the red BA mkII xr6t is on the forums. Around city causeway through to mounts bay rd

  12. Sounds like a nice route. Will have to see if I can get back to Perth for it on the sunday. Going to be up near Geraldton this weekend. If I don't show, I will be at the March cruise for sure if there is one.
  13. I'm keen, would be my first cruise in the XRT. Would be good to get out and meet some of ya's. PM Sent
  14. Not only is this guy an absolute moron, but he is paranoid too. I was looking through his feedback, he bought this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320621264756#ht_752wt_1141 Pity he wont be able to read those instructions.

Considering I'm only 18, I've gone through my fair share of cars.
  16. Hey guys, Recently bought a 2007 BF mk II XR6T. I'm planning to put gauges into it as soon as possible. I want to make sure there are no boost leaks and that it's running at around 5-6 PSI. Problem is, I'm not sure on what brand of gauges I want to buy. I am thinking of getting Oil pressure and boost. I would also be looking for someone in the Perth area that is possibly willing to meet up and give me a hand as I have never done a gauge install. Would be appreciated for any help. Cheers guys.
