  1. Ok, that picture is of the power steering cooler. The F6 oil cooler is your typical oil filter housing sandwich plate type deal. There are coolant hoses you need to buy as well. The part numbers for FG with ZF cooler; FG F6 oil cooler, AR2Z-6A642-AA, Restricted release, in my experience, the closest 3 Ford dealers required proof of F6 ownership Hardpipe to oil cooler hose, Ford# BG-6B850-A, Mackay# CH5567, Was told not available from Ford, use aftermarket Mackay Oil cooler to trans cooler hose, Ford# BG-6B851-A, Mackay# CH5566, Was told not available from Ford, use aftermarket Mackay Trans cooler to hardpipe hose, Ford# BG-7890-A, Mackay# CH5564, Was told not available from Ford, use aftermarket Mackay
  2. Lol, and black etch primer on the hose clamps. Big fan '10ft finish'.
  3. @JETURBO ya tight bastard lol, get rid of that cable tie and get some ebay ally spacers.
  4. Post up a link dude. Last time I enquired to purchase the FG F6 oil cooler my local Ford dealer knocked me back saying it was VIN restricted. Am keen to get one.
  5. I'm still not clear on the Tmap part. I presume it was boost and throttle transients where the old way suffered???? Regardless, to confirm, I take it the new way ford is the 4 bar boost sensor and 5 bar tmap kit like the following.... https://www.independentmotorsports.com.au/ford-fg-fgx-xr6-barra-5-bar-map-sensor-kit
  6. Yuck, not fun. Back on the beers?
  7. For extra inputs sake, I got a set of 355 rotors and Brembo 4 pots here off a FG-X XR8. The diameter part of the equation fit under the stock FG Mk1 18's but the offset part of the equation is a fail. Calliper hits the rim spokes. As mentioned by the brains trust, it all comes down to how the bracket and rotor hat are sized. For what it's worth I've got a set of big pad area AP 6 piston and a 355mm rotor hidden in behind a set of 17's on my HJ ute. What I'm trying to say if you ignoring the blowing my trumpet part, is it all comes down to measurement and employing someone that knows what they are doing. And I'll add another curve ball, for some reason in Australia you will pay mega bucks for a custom brake bracket and rotor hat. From my experience, they can be had significantly cheaper going overseas if you are able to cad the designs up yourself and specify material / tolerances etc.
  8. Unreal, being that it's so obvious and repeatable you should be able to locate it. Have a go at putting it up on blocks and have someone bounce it while you're under there. Safer option would be 4 post hoist. Perhaps give the exhaust a shake for good measure.
  9. Awesome. Not bad for a bloke that works from home 💯
  10. Pleased to say she's up and running. First 30km run in, just pulling a few gears up to 3,500rpm with moderate to mild load then backing off and repeating. Pulled the oil filter apart, nothing of concern thankfully. Will send it this weekend and work on a 98 tune for it. Meth tank is going to work. First try picked up the factory washer bottle mounts without issue. Can do with some optimising for version 2, but good enough to move forward and commit to the install with this version. For version 2, I need to double check the fog light position and see if I can add in some more volume around it and there is also opportunity to add volume in the void just below the head light.
  11. haha, didn't know it came in a water base option. Perfect stocking filler. Ripper, lmfao 🤣
  12. Solid. Really do need to keep a score book of money saved working sh*t your lonesome.
  13. ... and a sneak peak of episode 2 of don't do me. Drills 16mm hole in engine crane.
  14. In what I hope to be the first and last episode of do as I say not as I do... Nearly junked the turbo inlet manifold. Mounting the supplied meth fittings onto the radius of the runner is not a good idea. Had to spot face it to save the job. What happened is there is not enough thread on the fitting to fully engage which = big leaks. In hindsight, if you're going to order the direct port bundle from Cool Runnings Engineering and you're looking to do a stealth install, ask for the 4mm 90deg angle nozzles and use the small cast bosses opposite the injector as the mounting point. The straight nozzles won't fit there as they'll foul on the heater core supply pipe that runs along the side of the block. I've just put the blanking plugs in for now as it will be a while before I get the meth kit fully installed. Just concentrating on getting the engine back in and running on a base tune for now.
  15. Been up in Queensland for 2 weeks. Then back to Victoria, oh my... Water meth tank has been cut and folded. Just out now with the welder to tack it all up, then I can do a test fit. Wanted to install an oil pressure sensor. 50,000 fittings later... Used the Honeywell 0-150psi sensor from EFI Hardware Pulled the intake manifold today and mocked up the Aquamist kit for a stealth install. Few happy pics if it help someone out in the future. Spaced the nozzle back about 20mm from the inside of the flange Using the callipers as a height gauge to get the vertical height the same across all 6 ports. Goes without saying, use a centre punch once y and z lines are marked. Roughed in. I'll cover the hose with a black braid or more likely some silicone heat sleeving for the final install. Stealthish Still have good access
  16. This is just the general red engine enamel from Repco. It's close enough.
  17. Thanks. Little bit of massaging required and also a custom stud welded to the dump to pick up the oem mounting point.
  18. Easy mod. All tucked away. Hacksaw a vf squared by eye. Will still look stock when the hood is open. No one will notice the 3.5" to 4" 90 deg after the muffler.
