  3. Mate check out the specs, age and mileage of mine in the cars for sale thread (2004 BA Mk1 4 speed auto) and I ended up with several folk all trying to climb over each other to part with $30k to own it. Probably a better all round package due Nizpro Stage 2+, suspension and brakes but yours is newer, stronger rods and ZF auto. I managed to sell mine before the new model came onto the blocks and that may have an impact. I'd expect nothing less than $35k. Best of luck with the sale Cheers, Dingah
  4. I'll try and alert the new owner of my T to this thread and the potential for a Canberra run . Dave C will be in it providing there's a dyno at the end of the run! Dingah

    Resale Value

Probably terrified of getting a Wog ping..ooops I mean tune! Dingah
  6. Go for the even larger front sway bar (32mm??) and leave the rear one alone so that the rear suspension can flex and work as designed in order to keep the power down is my advice. Dingah
  7. I guess I didn't complete the story and also had the suspension, brakes and transmission suitably re-engineered in order to retain a safe driveable balanced car that can not only go in straight lines but around the twisty bits and stop appropriately. Aspects too often forgotten by too much focus on dyno graphs and numbers. Remember also that despite their best attempts to tell you otherwise there is neither one tuner nor any one system that is the RIGHT solution; horses for courses. A really good point raised by big Mick (MS700) some time ago is also relevant - you can have all sorts of power figures but how many other 'features' have come along from those tunes. For my money I have a conservative looking, extremely capable 'GT' with no unwanted 'features'. Enjoy! - the journey can be as much fun as the destination! Dingah
  8. A good choice by my judgement - see my comments on that set up and a little more New suspension - form and smooth
  9. Read this first Cobra State 2 - a sting in this tale Any questions - pm me. Cheers, Dingah
  10. One of the simplest and cheapest initial handling mods that you can undertake. Only benefit is on corners (roundabouts!!) but it gives the impression that the car has shrunk a little with a good one fitted on the front. THe rear is best left alone in order to keep the wheels in contact but put the biggest Whiteline on the front you can source - 31mm(?) I think is the fatest. From there, shox and springs can follow as a complimentary series of mods. Dingah
  11. Fully agree. Have gone down the Billstein/King SL path and am very happy with the set-up = not too harsh and very stable but nimble too. However, part of this equation was the thickest swaybar you can find on the front (31mm?) not very expensive addition but a huge diffrence to handling together with re-bushing throughout. Dingah
  12. Glen at ESP has the credentials to match any Canberra or Sydney tuners and at last has his dyno set up and Flash tuning capability. Dingah
  13. He'll do the entire package for about $5500. Dingah

    Brake Pads?

Fundamentally the diffrence will manifest as their ability to dissipate heat which is the heart of good braking. Try either Ferodo DS2000 or for more spirited driving DS2500 - Ultimates are good all round pad with nice cold bite but will start to suffer under REALLY harsh activity. If you want effective braking action then you will get brake dust - what do you want aestheics or safe driving? Dingah
  15. I'm runing the John Bowe Signature Series brake package - AP Racing 6Spot/4Spot 362mm/330mm, braided lines, DBA5000/DBA4000 slotted with Ferodo pads ....bloody phenominal set-up, solid and fade-free. Call John Healey a Competition Friction, Murrumbateman, he'll do the package for approx 50W% off RRP. Dingah
  16. If you are interested pm me as I have a Ford BA 18" available. Dingah
  17. Money does not buy maturity; you are never the one to judge your own capabilities and matuity or utter lack thereof judging by some of the drivel appearing on this forum over past months. Sure road rules are here to legislate for the lowest common demoninator but they are rules and they will protect yourself from yourself. If you expect someone to believe that you possess an appropriate degree of maturity and are content to fragantly disregard the law then you need a significant attitude correction. Hopefully it will be a tree or some other inanimate object that provides it and not a law abiding and innocent third party. Do not fool yourself by the fact that you think you can fool an insurance company either; if you are driving illegally then you are uninsured regardless of assurances to the contrary. You hit something or God forbid, someone and you'll pay.....for a darn long time. Wake up, and grow up there is a solid correlation between age and lack of emotional intelligence which so many of you continue to demonstrate. Dingah
  18. New King SL springs front and rear, Whiteline 30mm sway front, leave rear alone, Billstein shox all round, new bushings throughout, thorough alignment and balance was about $2500 all up and transforms the car. Dingah
  19. G'day and welcome. Myself, Danno, Galconn, and formerly Falchoon (he is now in the corner for a week having apparently been a little over zealous in his use of the keyboard) are some of the ACT forum buddies that you will encounter. Dingah
  20. .......or NOSEX! Dingah
  21. Astounded that an M5 owner/driver would even waste his time noticing let alone enteraining a Ford of any variety, particularly one fitted with a Wog cooler! Dingah
  22. What a complette waste of time. My daughter works in London and their summer commenced with 67 continuous days of rain. Love the car though - even an S3 wold be nice. Dingah

    New Brakes

John Bowe Signature series AP Racing brake upgrade about $6000ish from Competition Friction. 6Spot/4Spot 362mmm/330mm, Ferodo Pads, fluid and braided lines. No squeaks, no possible improvement need be countenanced, repeated stopping no shudder, squeal or fade. Dingah

    New Brakes

    The answer............... Dingah
  25. Had exactly the same symptoms with the scan tool showing S5 solenoid at a dead short - pan dropped and all connections cleaned and re-crimped by Glen and all has been well since. Next time you might confirm the wiring harness integrity before shelling out for a new solenoid. Dingah
