I need some help in choosing the right tyre size and tyres for my Fg ute. The car is only used on the street but running a good amount of power (480rwkw) it's having trouble hooking up anything under 3rd gear. I'm running 19x9.5 +22 front and 19x10.5 +12 rears Cheers.
Im looking to keep my crossover pipe and standard airbox while running a Precision 6235. E85 will be used I have seen a few low 400rwkw bays that look standard but nothing much over 450kw. My guess is that it "can" be done but has anyone pushed much further through the crossover and airbox? Will put my flame suit on as im sure 99.9% will say just buy a 4inch intake and battery relo but I want it for more of stealth look.
Firstly, sorry for my ignorance but I have no idea with tyre sizes etc. I have 20x10's with a 255 tyre on the rear of my fg ute. There is a heap of room between the wheel and guard, im wondering how much more tyre could I put on a 10inch rim?
I was in the same boat. 320kw and stock brakes. Just ordered DBA T3's all around with ferodo DS performance pads. Hoping it will be a massive improvement.
I had a little run with one a last weekend. Im only making 320rwkw and from a 50kmph roll I had him every time. I was brake boosting though as he would get the jump on me.
Panda, depending what brand/model of watch you have, you can buy replacement glass and just get a good watch maker to fit it in Aus. I wish I never started collecting watches as its more expensive than buying/modifying cars.
I did see your car and a couple others from here sitting there. Was almost a nice reminder not to go overboard with this one and keep it under 450rwkw. Having one ute that's stroked, gtx45, th400 is enough of a headache let alone two.
That was my thoughts but I even said I would fit everything for him. If this tune keeps me happy and can hang with 50% of the fri/sat night cars I will be happy for a month or so.
Utes booked in with Bruce for Fri. Walked in looking to spend up and he talked me out of it and instead just to throw a tune in it for a while and see how it goes. Probably the most upfront and honest tuner/mechanic I have ever come across.
Back again with another stupid question. Sorry. Varrstoen 2.2.2 (19 inch) to fit a FG ute am I right in getting: 9.5 + 22 fronts and 10.5 + 12 rears? Would a 245/35 front and 275/30 rear be the best choice in tyre size? Cheers.
