  1. Hi guys, got a family wagon BA Futura for a daily, tried turning off the traction control to test its boat drift capabilities and I noticed whilst depressing the switch no ilumination on the dash or sign, so I tested it after the wash, started car pushed button stood on it and still traction control, tried this a few times so my question is, would it be the switch or something more complex? , I would of thought that its switch or button related considering its not lighting up on the dash once I press it because it certainly lights up on engine start up. if its the switch how can I check this and how much are they roughly? if anyone has done one before any ideas. Cheers Any help appreciated
  2. ok so its back from betting the box done.. Must say its pretty crazy, screamer pipe is a bit much but, the btr is ok so far, I was surprised at how smooth it was under normal driving conditions, thought it would be to snappy, it pulled a 478 apparently after the box went in.. f*ck me paints the road like nothing , Im hooked on 400 rwkw now... just need to find the right fg ute but im going to go mani , been looking and looking ever since my first time in it back when he had 340rwkw, sold my old work ute so being very patient for the right one He wants to sell his so if there is any serious pepz interested pm me if you like, what a shame such a waste of money IMO, cheers guys
  3. Hi mate, well done on those numbers, can I ask what its like under normal driving conditions and had any niggling issues with standard internals? also why the upgrade on clutch is the 3 not good enough?? thoughts on that and tailshaft upgrade ? cheers
  4. ease up guys, its not my rig, as I said I would do things diff imo. As far as I no, I would be reasonably happy with dominellos box on paper, new stronger gear sets, pump etc. im new to xrs, and still looking for my one, and as far as ive been told its t56 manual, or a dominello box for 400rwkw and over is good, couple of others swear buy that combo for 500rwkw, as for big numbers, yes I bigger tranny is needed, but if you read earlier, he is over it, wants to drive it enjoy it a bit, we will see how good it is, big torque, so yeah if it was me, yes jatco for the od, or t56 mani, he is trying to palm it my way but a little out of range for me price wise, and still need to spend money, bigger cooler and plumbing . We will see once im shotgun.
  5. the reason for the btr is he wants to drive and enjoy it, is very over it at present its been over 14 months, a t400 was going to cost 10k as opposed to a dominello built btr box which is claimed to be ok for now at that power level and he wants a 4 speed. I would of gone a 42r IMO but I havent been in a car with t51r yet, croydons are the ones who suggested the t51r.

  7. Yeah I must say he wasnt to happy in the end with the amount of time it took and dollars, definitely will guys box is at dominello getting his btr built along then big tranny cooler etc goes in then we will see. ill get more detailed engine specs soon.
  8. apparently, croydon sent a new freshy of to get that freezing process done whilst he still had his ute before it went in, not sure if there any diff or its an fg one maybe. dont have every minuet detail yet.. just the quick facts and inspected the dyno sheet.

Hi guys, my next door neighbours ute finally home from 12 months at croydon. first run was over 500 but had to back off cause of flexing in the flex plate or something along those lines, motor is built for very big power numbers. Moderately tuned to get home on its first tune 466rwkw for run in and new box is being built as we speak at dominello. No expense spared engine typhoon block, crygenically frozen, crazy internals I hear, t51r nitto plenum etc. just waitin for the tranny, poped just after cruising home on run in. will be a 550 rwkw daily and much more in shotout mode or dyno comps I would say. im itching for a lap then convince him to part with it..
  10. there is a ba for 20 on here, I would look at it but so many issues it seems, its also on car sales. but still can someone clarify for me as well differences in the ba and bf typhoons, be more specific as in engine differences etc. if its only the zf difference and brembos then a Ba may be a good option IMO, but im still looking so any decent advice would be good, As for auto or mani, well im not biast but from what I have been hearing and now seeing ( looked at a bf 2 the other day not f6) new zf at 60k with only 310rwkw. go figure, havent heard of any 6 speed manis going yet so im stuck on what to get in that respect as well, I think if its the right colour with the leather I want, then I would compromise either way.
