    Edit Results?

I'm one of the fortunate edit users that hasn't had a problem with the 10psi tune. This may well be due to my low base power of 171rwkw, the weather in Perth (34 today) or simply that my cars dynamics were similar to the test vehicles used to develop the tunes. Either way a comment from Street Tuner ( the only active SCT advocate active on the forum) with respect to the problems outlined above would be welcomed by all the SCT customers I'm sure Steve
  6. Meeting up somewhere in the city makes sense but would it not be better to go for a decent drive somewhere, like York etc, maybe catch up for breakfast @ say Fast Eddys, down a coffee and hit the road.....just a thought Steve

    Edit Results?

03 Auto with SS ind. & XR8 snorkal CAI,filter and cntr muffler mods, CAPA 10psi, no problems from word go, 60rwkw increase, maximum of 12.5 A/F @ 240 rwkw, auto change points / firmness much better than stock
  10. So what is he story with the wastegate flutter, should it be louder with the edit, what exactly causes it and is it a good thing.......Street Tuner / anyone?
  11. SIXRT / obrut6 (and others) What do you think about starting a thred where edit users can discuss the whys and wherefores of the edit. I for one would get alot from discussing and comparing our experiences to date. Unfortuneately most edit discussion @ present focuses on it's so called shortcomings and how yet to be released products will be a better option. To be honest it's starting to bore the sh1t out of me. What do you think? Steve
  12. I too regapped the plugs (.87mm I think) and have also lost the gobble sound as you put it. I had a crimped hose leading to the throttle body as well was probably more likely the cause of the leaking air sound effect. My car was running fine however those two little maintenance fixes have improved both power levels and smoothness of delivery Steve
  13. Well done Just to put things into perspective that M3 and 911 straightline territory

Jeff Any chance of finding out what the better cats for $400 are? Steve
  16. Has your mates wife got a sister?
  17. For what it's worth he Phoon I test drove definately went, looked, stopped and handled better than my standard T. Whether it's worth the extra 15K+ is irrelevent to me as like most on this site, I wasn't in the market to buy one!
  18. Sh1t, my teeth have been killing me all day...........just off to make sure no one has stuck a pick axe through my spinal column
  19. It means you have set the speedo to chime when you hit a certain speed. Depress the mode paddle on the left hand side of the steering wheel for a couple of seconds and it will go off!
  20. Spend another $300 and get an extra 60 rwkw instead........oh! make that $330 and get a decent wax as well then you'll get the best of both worlds Steve
  21. Everyones entitled to their opinion and lets face it the standard performance figures have been, well ......dissapointing. But I tend to agree, unless you've driven one, you're not really qualifed to comment on the whole package. I was impressed with my test drive and build quality faults aside I'am sure the Phoon will have it's day Steve
  22. Feel free to drop by and give it a go. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why do I get the impression you are all talk? Maybe its because you want to get the last word in. After all you did say you wouldn't comment further so I tested your resolve. Sure enough you couldn't leave it and instead you issue a challenge. We could walk past each other in the street and you wouldn't know me from the next guy. Strange how a few words can make people fiesty. You really don't know me or you wouldn't have said the things you did. sadly, I think is says more about you than it does about me. May I remind you that this is a public forum. If you are going to have a go at me, PM me Or, like me, you can choose to let it go. The stange thing is we may have more in common than you think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm thinking.......Play Misty for me

    Rimz

Mate, I spent a month trying to find some rims that I thought would look good on my car and basically looked through all the offerings from the tyre places around Perth (SOR) like ROH, AMG, Speedy.....etc. All Boring as hell and too commen! I had a budget that I set myself and even with that the price difference I got from shop to shop was huge and most of them will not move with price! So after about 3 weeks I had enough of everyones $hit and rang Tempe and bought myself some wheels and got them sent to WA for less $$ then what I could buy a set of nice 18's here. Plus they were pretty flexy with the prices too! You cant go wrong and there is no point getting ripped off!!!! Lot of people get wheels from them because they great value. At Motorvation this weekend I counted about 20 sets of rims that would have come from them. I had a budget and I got my wheels for $600 less then what they want for a set of similiar wheels here in Perth and I am very happy with them! But if $$$ is not an issue for you and you dont mind spending the extra money then that's a different story! Hope that helps! HAVE A LOOK! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What he said I got a replacement tyre from them for $100 less then WA dealers could offer and they sent me four valve caps when I mentioned one was missing from my original order. Credit where credits due
  24. As I can recall he was quite outspoken when he first made a name for himself as a border line adolescent, which he got slammed for, so I dont blame him for being a bit tight lipped nowadays. Not everyone is blessed with the ability to act cool in the spotlight, bottom line , he's a proven world No 1 who has, and will continue to give Australians someone to be proud of in the worlds sporting arena. WGAF what noises he makes on the tennis court or whether he doesn't perform in front of a reporter, he's a tennis player and a very good one at that.......Good on him I say ................but then again I was a huge Mc Enroe fan so I guess I could carelesss about having the right attitude or politicall correctness. One thing I will say..........for him to perform as well as he has so soon after being dumped on the international stage, reflects his strength of character and will to succeed, ...........surely this is more important than whether we think he's a good bloke or not!. Steve
  25. Any one else with the edit (or any ecu enhancer for that matter) notice a huge difference in induction / BOV ssshhhhh noise? Mines noticably louder now than when first flashed and its audible under load not just when the turbo starts spooling up. At first it sounded like a hose had come loose and it was sucking harder to compensate, however it hasn't affected power so I dont know! Added CAI noise isn't really my thing but if goes with the territory I can live with it...........just wondering if there is any need for concern. Steve
