Looking for some advice re type / size of auto transmission cooler best suited. Have been given prices ranging from $200 to $330 for either a deraily or a dritech (not the correct spelling I'm sure) Sizes range from medium to large however just cant get any consistency in what I'm being told. Also been given several variations on replacement oil I.e penzoil, valvoline, mobil.....does it matter given that none of them are synthetic? Would love to hear from those with experience Cheers Steve
Chris I'm sure that you have looked into your legal rights and assume Ford have you over a barrel so my comments may just be waffle. Nevertheless for what it's worth imo the only level of compensation that is acceptable is a full refund plus interest backdated to the time of purchase.....you simply didn't get what you paid for. Has anyone spoken to a solicitor re a pro - bono class action ? I'm sure there would be some hungry brief out there that would want to make a name for himself by taking on the might of FMC with the assistance of some 100yr old legal precedent. I can totally understand why the loan of a GT does not make everything ok. Whilst it would be fun to thrash around in a +70k loaner I'm sure novelty would soon wear off. A bit like getting married and then having your bride temporarily replaced by a blond with big t*ts. Sure it would be fun to play with but it is no substitute for the chosen one that you want to build a life with. ...........on second thoughts when you look at it that way what are you complaining about Steve
If it sounds to good to be true it usually is but hey with a 30 day money back guarantee why not give it go I did the same thing with the Hi Clone - $160 and it did f*ckall so I got my money back.
Pay a couple of hundred more and Tempe will upgrade your tyres to Falken ST115 (not the base Falken). There alot better tyre and still good value for money compared to others around..
Well there you go then heres your chance. This time block up the second intake get a witness and run another 13. I'm sure variances in your launch technique / weather conditions will have a more significant effect on your times than a 2nd cai anyways.
I wouldn't worry about it. If it wasn,t for the fact that other HPF tuned cars are reporting 9rwkw more than you you would,nt have given your new found power another thought. Lets face it how often would you use the additional 9rwkw given that it probably only comes in @ around 5500 - 6000rpm. If you are thinking of another tune I would be looking for more power down low(refer JB,s recent results) that's where you do most of your driving. My car has had 240rwkw and has been dropped back to 228rwkw to provide for an additional 30rwkw @ 3000rpm which imo has made for a better driving experience. Enjoy :gasthrower:
Not an issue - The main purpose of this forum, as I see it, is for members to share worthwhile information. No difference between a member stating that they are happy with their tyre choice as opposed to giving their chosen tuner a good wrap.
Legally, morally whatever, you have done the right thing by raising it with your boss, make a note in your diary and forget about it! If you feel strong enough about it continue to keep notes of over supply. This will provide you with good leverage if you should ever need it down the track. In the meantime - Dont bite the hand that feeds you!
Zman, Was it too Hot for the Hair Dryer last night mate I warned you before about being 2 pots short hahahahhahaha You better start working on the Edit if you plan on catching my ute mate co's at 14.5 you have a long way to go Did Ross do a run in it ? if so what was his time as we all know he is a better driver hehehehe <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you have a time slip? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is this the citric acid that stopped for a chat at the end of the Mitchell last week ? If so the time doesnt surprise me 'cause it went well for a stocky, if not well done anyways
Still early on in your relationship and given that you obviously care about the girl it may be worth riding this one out. Dumping herl is the easy way out and whist its good for the ego to call the shots that's little consulation if it turns out being a love lost. If all is not well I am sure there will be plenty of other signs for you to pick up on. I went through almost the exact same situation, it turned out to be cosha and we have now been happily married for 9 years. Dr Phil
Not sure if all edit users suffer this prob. but there are a number of us that experience high idle (<2500rpm), only for a couple of seconds on cold start up followed by 1500 rpm for say 20 sec before settling. Just wondering if this has been rectified with the revised generic capa tunes or if it's being sorted when customed tuned?
.... but who would be responsible if there is an accident caused due to this "error condition" ?? or worse still ... what if someone died ?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would suggest the same person that decided to modify the car to produce an extra 40+rwkw!
Some pretty damning statistics there for the old US of A, but lets face it they still have Angelina Jole ...........oh and they missed one - The US is the worlds biggest exporter of crap television
Good result especially the extra 45wkw @3000rpm which is where you want the power increase imo. Bringing the boost on early iand being able to control it is still causing a number of tuners grief so HPF have done well to sort it out. Dyno graph would be nice
A word of advice if your thinking of going for the modern impressionist look. After failing to find a suitable print to match our newly painted lounge I decided to employ my school days art skills and do one myself. With a $15 canvas placed on the grass in my back yard I hurled a small paint bomb made with glad wrap, the intention being for the gladwrap to burst and the paint to artistically spread it self across the canvas. Unfortunately the paint bomb bounced off the canvas, flew 20 feet across the garden and emptied its contents (not so artistically ) all over a limestone retaining wall After a 2 hour clean up it was goodbye to my art career and a trip down to Ikea for another look.
Given the results HPF seem to be getting I would asking them to put in whatever they think. You may want to go for a slightly detuned map that allows for say 91ron fuel in case at some point you cant fill up with 98. This map could also be used if you get a bad batch of fuel.
Shame its a manual your after otherwise Mark I Auto with......... 19 " Rims, lowered, strengthened auto, edit, injectors, better brakes and bigger intercooler etc. all for the same price as a mark II
The space and comfort that a big car gives you, what with 2 kids / clients to cart around. Nice to see the look on the clients face when you give it squirt after discussing the purchase of his new jag / bmw slug. Major reason I wanted a quick automatic so it was a no brainer really
