Just go straight to DBA and give them an honest account of what has transpired. Unless you have been chucking laps around Winton etc. what you have experienced should not occur although a too aggressive pad will create more heat which can result in warping of the disk. Let us know how you get on.

If you don't have enough time to scratch your arse try your balls instead. Checked the turbo out last night and she's spinning free and true without any signs of impeller / housing contact. Just the nasty bearing noise. Do you think she will be ok to drive (taking it easy) for a couple of weeks or am I playing with fire? Anybody else been down this road?

Well the old girls pushing 100k and I 've just noticed that the Turbo has started to get a bit noisy (grinding bearings sound) Looking for some feedback on the following: - Is total destruction iminent - Will it be safe to drive for a while, if I take it easy - Am I looking at a total rebuild of the turbo - Who in WA (other than Ford) can I speak to - What sort of $$ am I looking at. Anyl offerings would be appreciated
