  1. Dunno what the deal is, he's sold alot of sets on ebay though and they come with an invoice from Coffey Ford. I initially rang and spoke to someone else in spare parts, they gave a more expensive price (although still very competitive I think it was around $210 the set) When I asked about the ebay ones they said Mike was away but would be relisting more when he was back. They were the latest version coil at the time too, not sure if there's been any changes since.
  2. send this guy a message on ebay http://myworld.ebay.com.au/mikesmodelcars Its Coffey Ford spare parts in Vic, bought my set of 6 for $165 +$10 post. He did mention when I got mine, Ford were changing to a new supplier so they were unsure of what the quality of the new coils was going to be like. That was in January this year. Have bought other parts off of them too online, far cheaper than my local Ford dealer here in Bendigo.
  3. Got my catch can today while supercheap had 20% off. Quick tip for anyone else buying one, make sure all the fittings are in the box (can doesn't come fully assembled) First can I got had no "calibre" written on the side which I was happy about, but only had one of the 10mm hose fittings. Took it back and had to open 4 boxes before there was a complete one,and going by the sticker on the box they were all from a different batch too. Pretty sh*t for a product that's also kept in a locked cabinet.
  4. Theres a video on youtube of a guy doing a change on his Jag, try searching 6hp26. Or google that, theres manuals and refill procedures on the net.
  5. 20% off sales there are good, just got myself an oil catch can. Might switch from the Nulon long life to those 6l ones, as it's the same price, if not a little cheaper than the 5l long life stuff.
  6. How many 500ml bottles to do a flush? Also if your not confident, don't mess with brakes! Whats a flush worth these days from a mechanic anyway? Last car I got done for $50.
  7. I have 275/30 on a +40 9.5, mines lowered, not much though, and it rubbed with just me in the car when going over bumps etc. Fine now guards are rolled. Yours will sit 4mm further out too. If you roll the guards it'll be right with the 275/30.
  8. I'd go 255/35 rear and 245/35 front, shouldn't rub on stock guards at stock height, or even if you lowered it. 40 profile will make it look like a 4wd.
  9. So it worked, now it doesn't? And you haven't been messing around with any of it?
  10. 1kg x cornering g's, yeah you'd want it secured reasonably well. not that these cars would pull much in a corner, but needs to be taken into account. Plus looks better hidden in behind a fog light, up under the car Nizpro style etc IMO.
  11. Use the factory generic tune then as a starting point, it'd be much safer. Or don't be a stooge and get someone else to tune it. Are you going to buy the advantage tuning software?
  12. I always assumed it meant torquing the inlet manifold to head bolts, not the upper to lower inlet manifold bolts, they're easy to get to!
  13. Those that used the Furious Performance kit, When mounting behind the drivers fog light, did the kit come with enough hose? And was it just normal transmission hose, nothing fancy? Thinking might just get the adapters off of him and source my own core and hose, as I don't want to just join the coolant lines together, but use the BA turbo coolant pipe instead so I can get rid of the lines all together. Probably wouldn't use his brackets either.
  14. tried any exhaust shops/tuners/wreckers? Shouldnt be hard to find one, plenty of people upgrade.
  15. The Ford part numbers are listed in the owners manual or service book (cant remember which one), AGSP22YE09 is whats listed for my BF Mk2 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GENUINE-FORD-BA-BF-FG-FALCON-SPARK-PLUG-SET-0-9mm-PRE-GAPPED-AGSP22YE09-/300615761131?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45fe187ceb
  16. Haven't seen one but I doubt the diameter would be the same. Put up a wanted ad in the classifieds, should be plenty around from people that have upgraded.
  17. Could a couple of litres of E85 or Eflex be added to a tankful of 98, to raise the octane and add some safety margin, similar to adding toluene??
  18. Are the inlet manifold bolts difficult to torque? Saw it's meant to be done at each service like the exhaust manifold and turbo, looks like alot of work to get access to them though.
  19. Holden/Ford = same thing in V8 supercar series.
  20. Having tapatalk issues, aside from not being able to read some threads (just sits there saying loading) like others have already mentioned, when I mark the forum as read, sometimes I have to do it a few times, appears to work, but then when I come on later all the threads with the same latest posts are coming up as unread. The unread posts issue is still there for me too, I just go to the "latest" then "all" tab and read the bold, highlighted ones as a workaround. All other forums I use on tapatalk work fine.

    Vac Leak

Using lots of fuel as mentioned earlier
  22. They aren't bolt on for the turbo's due to the intercooler being in the way, that's what they told me anyway. Will need custom brackets made, possibly locate it behind a fog light.
  23. Mates of mine have been done by EPA before, they know what to look for and don't just measure emissions/noise.
  24. I once jumped a car in a car park, using the amp cables in the boot as we couldn't get to the front. Was 4ga wiring for my aftermarket 4ch amp, fused at 120a. Worked fine.
