  1. Yeah one of these days, never enough money to go round.
  2. Yeah it's taken me nearly 4 years to get the brakes and suspension sorted, hopefully I'll get the engine sorted one of these days.
  3. Z2TT I've got 275 PSSs on the rear and my car feels slow with stock power lol, just so much grip!
  4. Have you all got decent tinted windows? Makes a massive difference, decent shade on the front helps keep the heat out too. Driving all day in the middle of summer mine is plenty cold, don't even need the fan blasting.
  5. Going for the 2:06s Paul? Just skip those silly 2:07s they've haunted u too long
  6. Mines perfect and I have an FG (there's no such thing as a mk1!). Fans great, airs freezing cold, got no problems. Even accidentally let a bit of gas out when I did my first coolant drop, only a small amount though. Stock power.
  7. Stick it in neutral as u roll into your pit bay then as it comes to a natural stop put it in park, don't stop with the regular brake pedal either. You don't want the pads heat spotting the rotors. Can give it a slow down with the pedal then get off and roll in, depends on any slope u might have to work with.
  8. teins here and they also only take a minute to adjust, on the car no wheels off!Love my teins but either teins or shockworks r proving good. Higher spring rates in the teins if that matters to u.
  9. Love the wheels mate gl at the event u won't be disappointed with them.
  10. Christ! I've read we should be checking around the lug holes as well for cracks given the load we put on them by taking them on an off at the track all the time. By that's a different spot. Seen some pics of the imitation rota drifts doing that.
  11. New toy mate? Lucky to pick one of those up!! Looks wicked.
  12. Both handle like boats. Get good quality coilovers like teins or shockworks! Depends if u want the racy look of the xr6 or class of the g6 (there we go im nice to both).

    Which Brake Pads

Great pad for the street, plenty of bite.
  14. PF01s are better http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/76399-Fg-Offsets-And-Tyre-Questions/page__view__findpost__p__1407340 I have the rpfs in black as track rims in black
  15. Keith the time it takes to get the stock Jack out of the boot, lined up and lift the car slightly with a drill is far in excess of just chucking down two planks of wood and driving onto them. That said I have used the stock Jack if planks of wood aren't available, eg at the track.
  16. I'm glad this thread was started as I've been wondering what other ppl too, starting to get a fair few dints in the chassis rails up front with all the work I've been doing lately and changing tyres for track days all the time. I like the bit of pine with a slot cut out, that sounds awesome!! Also I've avoided the chassis rail because it can bend and I slightly dinted mine too. I have ramps too but am too scared to use them, the couple of times I did use them they moved so much I just wasn't confident to drive up on them. That was in a pretty polished garage floor and I'm in a different house now with much grittier concrete. Others thing I'm scared about using them is if I'll drive off the end of will the lip on them be enough to stop me with the amount of forward momentum needed to drive up the ramps. Also now mines lowered on the teins I've been driving onto a couple of planks to give me just enough space to get the low profile trolly Jack in, but I do like the idea of jacking the rear for the extra clearance.
  17. That's unlucky, I don't like the colour. That's ok I don't have $236,100 was for charity though wasn't it? Edit: ok looks better in that last shot.
  18. there is no news yet. I've been following it here... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/formula-1/jules-bianchi-crash-live-updates-4382002 Hopefully he's ok
  19. Ghey, he woulda had vettel either way, vettel made the choice to stop. Meh rules are rules I guess. Bad crash though, hope Bianchi is ok, still no word 2 hrs later, could tell it was really bad when they wouldn't show any footage of it all.
  20. I saw a yellow Lamborghini with yellow calipers today, it looked unreal!
  21. I picked up half a second with just teins and same tyres on wakefield. And that was only one session before I had other problems and couldn't finish the day. I reckon was another half a second plus in it, well over a second, maybe even two if I had more laps, and that's in my hands, a pro could probably extract even more just from quality coilovers like teins and shockworks. maybe I'll pick one up when the last ones are a yr or two old and someone else has taken the depreciation. That's what I did on my xr6T, essentially a GT for way less! Keep the xr6 as a track car and make the GT(XR8) the family car.
  22. I went to the pwr about 12 months ago circa ~85-90,000kms, I did it for peace of mind. One day hoping to also run an oil to air cooler in series with the pwr, thermostatically controlled to keep zf temps down on the track.
  23. Congrats mate, glad they've worked out for you! They're awesome wheels, you'll love these lightweight rims, you can feel the difference in handling straight away, I love them on my car! The brembos looks wicked under them hey, I just installed 6 pots up front the other week and it's mental how much room there is isn't it. In silver they're awesome against the blue on my car, altho they're dirty with brake dust most the time so grey will probably look good lol, unreal when clean though. Gl at your rallysprint
