  1. This post by bomber in another thread really lays it out for me, in all applications besides the strip the smaller options for the turbo 6 are going to be better.
  2. That'd be like me getting in your way lol, I'd hate that personally too, hate slowin down someone heaps faster cuz know how frustrating it is. Hopefully with all the new circuits opening in the next few years Wakefield might get less heavily booked, saw there's one being planned in shoal haven now and there ludleham meant to open in a few months.
  3. I think they have similar spring rates now though
  4. The new super streets have 16 adjustments. I'm guessing your pretty close to full on the stiff settings then. All good I'm sure I'll find what settings work in the end, pat @ wholesale suspension said start in the middle and go up and down depending how it feels. Can't wait to get them in though!
  5. Nice work! Taking that much time off doesn't happen often! Quick question for you, I'm about to put teins in my fg, how stiff do u set urs?
  6. The Renault engines sound sh*t but holy crap the induction noise on some of the others is wicked! SMASH MY DATE lol!
  7. yeah awesome, all of the surge tanks I've heard are soo bloody noisy. If an intank eliminates the risk of surge, is quieter and more legal (?) then they look to be a much better option. Gl with the waiting lol and enjoy fryday
  8. Well done mate gotta be lovin that! How's the 1000hp in tank pump go? Is it quiet? Is joe confident it won't surge?
  9. I wonder what it's like now though its been around a few years now. Nah not chifley it's at the servo in kambah.
  10. Prob make the 28th, good luck at wsid, would love to go but I'm going out to the skid pan that morning which will be awesome fun.
  11. Hey man would love to come but got visitors so let us know when the next one is and ill be there!
  12. I wonder if Canberra gets a winter blend of eflex.
  13. Jono hopefully your tail shaft holds up lol, full slicks can easily destroy the rear end. Semis are slightly kinder though
  14. Saw in a performance mag recently an ad for ESP saying they supply e85 so guarantee they'll tune for it. Problem with all the extra tunes is tuning cost but depends how u wanna roll. I'd say eflex would be the one to need a few more tunes compared to e85 but there's still plenty of ppl who just use the test tube testers without any probs
  15. Eflex is sold at some caltexs it's typically e70-76 whereas united e85 is generally around e75 but has been seen up to e92. So basically a bit less ethanol in the mix for caltex, pros and cons going with either but can make pretty good gains with either and the eflex will be kinder on the fuel lines and everything since it's got less ethanol Plenty of info around the forums on what u can do. So have a look. With a tune u can get what u want in a sct x3, most get like a 98 tune and eflex and maybe a valet (only rev to 3000rpm or something). Can get eflex at tuggeranong or gold creek afaik.
  16. Everyone who can tune "should" be able to. I'd seen a while ago fyshwick was getting e85, only went live 2 days ago by the looks of it http://www.unitedpetroleum.com.au/united/news/news-item/news/2014/03/05/fyshwick-act-now-sells-e85! Not sure if ill go e85 or just eflex, e85 is not great as a daily on the fuel hoses, also prob won't start to well in the Canberra cold.
  17. And u don't want to blow up your motor or do long term damage!
  18. Hey mate dunno what that plug is, someone will chime in, prob should be plugged into something though... On my fg it was pretty tight but I managed to get it all undone with the air box out, I just removed the filter, no earls, but it took me a few attempts because I didn't have the right tools at first. But I didn't have much room n my socket to tighten it up back into the engine block, I barely had one click on my socket worth of room, ended up with bruises up my forearms being all wedged in and pushing so hard lol. Looks like the BA f6 has the oil radiator cooler thing on it which is good for cooling but yeah would probably make it harder from underneath. Good luck it's doable so give it a go, otherwise if your not confident no harm getting the tuner to do it.
  19. That was awesome to watch! Such close racing and those last few corners wow!,, very professional racing and excellent to see, scotty has a mature head on him and they both raced hard and fair, whincup is a champion driver, could have easily put Scott into the wall, but they went 2 wide through corners that no one ever makes it through so has to be commended! Was exciting to see the different strengths and weaknesses of the Volvo and the Holden, got out of 7 and through 8 and 9 better then the Late model camira which gave him enough gap for whincups better braking into 9.
  20. That's awesome Paul, and considering the tyres are pretty cheap it definitely makes them a good option! Car looks so tidy and effortless going around SMP, a good sign of a well set up car and good driving! Here's your video too, looks awesome!
