  1. Yeah they're unreal, only put it into a couple of corners but so far I'm impressed. It didn't even feel like I was going through a corner! I was powering up a sweeping bend on a hill and didn't feel it move or body roll or anything, wasn't till my wife said I was going too fast that I realised how quick I was actually going! Lol This is on softest setting too! Can't wait to take it to the track and stiffen it up and bit. Be good when it settles a bit and I can drop it down some more too. U going to put teins or shockworks or something in your GT? Can't believe the falcons can actually handle so good, pretty terrible they sell them so sloppy!
  2. They go pretty well, I've got some at the moment, pads last well and take a beating but they're a bit harsher on the rotors. Also since your trying to solve squeal mine actually squak when they're wet, so take that inti consideration.
  3. The smile on my face when I did a test drive after installing teins, and super pro caster and upper inner bushes. Holy chit the falcon can handle!
  4. I'm about to stop going to the dealer too, they're so useless, one service they threw out some awesome brake pads I had that were only half worn, and recently they told me my power steering fluid was fine and a month later I've boiled it, I told them the power steering was feeling heavy. Trust your instincts, that's what I'm learning. Hard thing is finding a convenient and good place to take it.
  5. yeah hoping Wakefield in the next week or two. Actually going there one more time before I fit the teins, I've got a lot more to improve on still and I know I can bring my time to down a bit more. I want the adjustability as well, and installing myself I'll have the teins done and dusted for less than I've seen ppl paying for kings and konis installed.
  6. Had these delivered from P@t at wholesale suspension! Got well looked after too with delivery when there was a stuff up by startrack, thanks for all the help P@t! Will be fitting these after my next track day for a better baseline
  7. Wouldn't those temps make sense if you take into consideration that you're reading the temp on the outside, ie through metal that might be absorbing/insulating/cooling off? I dunno I could be on smack but if the temp externally has cooled off then it kinda make sense, to me anyways...
  8. Yuk what the hell is that!!! Video looked decent but that pick is ewww.
  9. I'd be interested in hearing from someone who has cut plenty of laps in both and can really comment. I think the teins have a higher spring rate which would explain why they are former on the street. If matched well with the damper settings this could translate to bring better on the track but happy to be proven wrong. In base form there's not much difference in cost between them.
  10. Teins, have a name for a reason. Shockworks, making a name for themselves, they helped with the suspension of fpvs, the rspec etc, had better options but didn't pass fords ride quality measures. Afaik
  11. I'll be interested to see what mine does with the xr8 airbox and k&n filter, already makes it a bit louder with more woosh psshhh
  12. Didn't get mine altho they may have left a missed delivery card even tho someone was home all day o-0, hate when they do that. Not worried tho. Keen to hear how everyone's goes, I can't install mine for 2 and a half weeks lol
  13. Seconded. Motion carried!
  14. That's a pretty good 0-100, smashes the time the motoring press got. I managed a 5.2 with a stop watch with my wife in the car and on shot sh*tty tyres where I would just sit there spinning if I did any stalling up. I need to test mine again now I have 275s on the rear.
  15. I think he's running ebc blues
  16. Sounds pretty awesome! Would take a lot of commitment know you've made the apex and are at the right speed for the exit if you can't see it. Sydney do twilight but I don't know if they actually do at night. That's insanely low! I remember reading from shockworks they were saying they found handling compromised below 345 with their coilovers.
  17. That's a fu. Ken like!! Man your cAr is low! What's your hub to guard lol? What's it like tracking in the dark?
  18. Fill your boot with tools, or have them sit on the back seat. You won't be breaking traction then
  19. Where do you want to beat it? Drag? Circuit? All round? At the lights? They're a nice car with lots of kit but they are pretty pricey, drag wouldn't be too hard, circuit a bit more so but set up right it's definitely doable.
  20. Nice work!
  21. Hey masda I'm considering joining the group buy. How long u gonna let it run for before u go ahead?
  22. I've got one mate, got a decent gerni was about $300-400, it's gonna get a good workout Sunday arvo after going to the skid pan lol
  23. WOW over 7k!! You paid what 5k? 7k gets you AP 6/4s, holy moley!! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-FALCON-FG-PBR-M-SERIES-BRAKE-UPGRADE-FPV-XR6-XR6T-XR8-GT-GT-P-/161048470316 That's decent life out of the blues, yeah the reds are rubbish, remember mine crumbled.
  24. ^ Probably this, unless you just love the fords and are dying to race one and try and surprise some ppl. Otherwise maybe do some cost benefit stuff and see whether it makes sense to race the falcon, factoring in cost of mods and race readyness stuff, see how competitive you are actually going to be able to be compared to the competition. I think Rosie on here used to race a B series? He got pretty seriously into track days and I think progressed? Nelsonian, if he chimes in, will know.
