Thanks, Ive got a spare 044 that I may just use then, I was worried I would need to match the flow of the two pumps off the surge, some 600lph! -
Need Help, Fuel System 1000Hp Barra In Xd
XFORCED posted a topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
Hi guys I need a little help. Im currently figuring the fuel system for project car and need a little help with lift pump suggestions. Im running a Process West -8 twin feed fuel rail and FPR1200 fuel reg with -8 return. Feeding this is 2 Bosch 044 pumps running off a 5 litre surge tank all based in the boot, all -8 lines, Fuel is E85 running ID2000cc injectors. Im unsure what lift pump to use from the fuel tank to surge, it can only be mounted externally of the fuel tank, Im limited to -8 pickup off the standard tank and will have to tap a bulkhead if I need to go -10. Ive looked at the A1000 as a lift pump but I dont want to go mad for no reason. Any suggestions on lift pump?.... -
Few additions Wiring loom is back, I wont connect all this up until engine components are painted and back on, Fuel rail with -6 to -8 attachments twin feed with single return. Ive also modded the turbine housing to clear the strut tower. a 2.5' tight radius aluminium 90 deg bend made it no worries

Im done for the night, time for beers, I wil need a spacer on the manifold flange to raise the turbo high enough to fit the 3 inch intetcooler piping, other wise the output will have to face upwards

Massive thanks to Spiro at DLM for these goodies.

Hmm, havent been on here for a while. heres a happy snappy of progress for you guys to drool over, just ordered the new turbo combo today. Ill keep details quiet for now but a site sponsor has helped me out a heap to choose exactly what I want. going to be in the Hi HP club that's for sure.

Differences Between Ba/bf And Fg Turbo Manifold

It looks as if the FG one sits a little higher up then the BF one, I need about 20/25mm -
Differences Between Ba/bf And Fg Turbo Manifold
XFORCED replied to XFORCED's topic in General Car Talk
I'm trying to do it on a budget where I can, does anyone have a photo of each to compare, it doesnt have to be much difference just a little could fit -
I am currently doing an engine conversion and am trying to find out the differences between a BA/BF turbo manifold compared to the FG turbo manifold, the turbo is currently fowling on the strut tower of my XF with a BF manifold on it. I was told that the FG manifold is different but not sure how. If the FG turbo manifold is closer mounted to the engine compared to a BF one then I may have a simple solution other wise im going to need a high mount. Any pictures, advice will be appreciated This Going into this

umm, tubbed X D falcon with spring mounts moved to the inside of the rail and 4 link, gives me room for a 345/30/19, enough?

One of my friends mentioned a turbonetics gtk850 as an option as well, how do they compare to garrett turbos
-
Yeah this is why I ask. Ive got a Nizpro stage 3 engine, plenum etc, Plazmaman cooler and 6 speed manual. Is going into the project car very shortly. Just trying to nut out the turbo side of things to get the best combo. I have access to both e85 and 98, but would prefer for ease of locations to stick with 98

Looking to upgrade turbo on my project soon, chasing the 450wkw mark and still want plenty of down low to mid, looking for suggestions on turbos and not sure what to go for. I'm going for a external gate and high mount as well if anyone can help
-
Mmmmm, Ive got a Total Tools tool chest, I think around the 300 odd piece mark, for the price and the amount of gear you get with the lifetime warranty I cant fault the gear. Its copped a damn hiding as well working on my project and other crap around the house, been in the back of the ute to melbourne and sydney and back a few times as well

[quote name= turbo' timestamp='1297758588' post='1081332] Doing the same conversion but an ute looks good!! I put a high mount 6 boost manifold fits a treat Need to build a dump pipe but not much room left. Yeah I considered a 6boost manifold but decided to notch the strut towers and put in RRS coilover front end, rack and pinion steering, I might Go with a 6boost manifold down the track if I decide to chase the 500wkw mark but I think 450wkw in a XF is excesive enough. going to drop in a set of atomic stage 4 advanced cams and strap on the TO4Z so it doesnt have to come out unless it explodes. is going to get punished once its up and running

Firewall finished tonight, just have to holesaw out for the input shaft

I dont no much about skylines but would it also be AWD, that would be sick
-
Raptor SC also do a kit for the DOHC, they come on similar to the turbos because there a centri charger, more rpm harder boost, have been in one and wasnt to bad but the turbos kick the hell out of them. Now if someone figured out how the hell to strap a twin screw to the side of one of these DOHC then you would have a real supercharged 6

Sweet, did find what I was looking for, thanks guys

To be honest, I actually love the look you have now, those wheels in black look evil, it ties together the front racoon eyes and tinted windows well being all black, horses for courses I guess.

Thanks for that, fuel rail looks the good, I have seen an aluminium P/S resovior somewhere, got me buggered where though

Theres a bloke that does group buys on fordforums for a sound deadner product, almost identical to Dynamat, is a bit cheaper and does exactly the same job, have used it before and as far as I can see and hear, it does the same job, hope that helps

Slowly getting bits and pieces for my project. Does anybody make a aluminium power steering resovoir for the BA/BF Falcons. Also chasing a plain billet fuel rail, not anodised, just plain billet finish
