  1. 68 L (full tank) / 16.7 * 100 = 407.2 km range. So it's spot on in other words. Would be willing to bet it uses that exact formula in the ECU code, I.e. Current fuel level / Current average L per 100 km * 100.
  2. There's an unfortunate amount of misinformation in this sticky...
  3. ah gotcha, sorry buddy haha
  4. lol most? So in other words you have/had a friend or friends who have killed themselves or someone else? Don't think that's gonna support your argument haha
  5. I saw it, laughed my ass of at the douche with a pod sticking up out of his bonnet.
  6. Hi mate, thanks for the reply. Yep solely for looks. Just for something different, didn't consider it to be something that will stay there forever either. Apologies for the delay, finally got some pictures
  7. Ever considered they might just be slipstreaming to save fuel?
  8. So I've put on a cheap generic grill in between the fog lights, but it has pretty small holes compared to other peoples' meshes on their XR6Ts. Maybe I'm being paranoid but does anyone think this could prevent the intercooler getting adequate airflow? I'll put I picture up if necessary but the holes would be roughly... hmm, an average sized fly probably wouldn't fit through, just. Lol. The car's stock by the way, BFII.
  9. Hmm ok, dunno why they'd use volatile memory when it's that easy to wipe all your settings but it's pretty possible I guess. Oh I can see how an ECU would make minute corrections based on data gathered previously over time to help with things like knocking and whatever, but noticeably increasing power? How many Watts/Kilowatts are we talking here? :/
  10. What is the fault exactly in the ECU that caused the cylinder to not fire that something like reloading the software can't fix?
  11. ? Physics and engineering definitely isn't my area of expertise but I'm pretty sure RynoF6 is correct. Torque is a force (N) applied to a shaft (at a location measured in metres from the shaft centre). Force times distance, or Nm. It doesn't account how quickly it's done, which is where rpm is stuck onto the equation and you get power.
  12. What some of you are saying doesn't really make sense. When talking sub operating temperature, how can a viscosity of 0 be necessary when Ford recommend a 15 winter? Additionally, you would think owners of both modified and unmodified Falcons would drive similarly when the engine's cold. Pitlane recommend the 10W-60, which would mean a bit to most on here I assume.
  13. Not sure if you're being serious but where'd you learn this?
  14. What is it then? And I'm no chemist, but if the octane booster does what it's supposed to, what's the problem using it?
  15. ^That's awesome
  16. You obviously know what you're talking about, I knew that, but the way you worded it enabled me to come in and say something stupid, as is customary on the internet. It was a joke to point out the fact that the formula clearly shows that no change in momentum results in zero net force, and therefore driving faster =/= more force, as your message could have been interpreted.
  17. cruising = zero force hahah
  18. ^This isn't 1/4 mile So you've been sitting there waiting 15 secs to get to 100km/h and thought you'd clean the solenoid and ask a few conservative questions on a forum? lol I'd take it straight back to where you bought it asap
  19. manny represent! Know the power?
  20. Caused by incompetence during manufacture? I was fairly certain it would've been written into the ECU code and as sort of safety margin
  21. RB410, what's with all the badges buddy? I thought if one were to put on FPV badges they'd take off the XR6 and Ford ones, not just stick them around the old ones.
  22. Ford in Frankston/Kananook have been fine when I've dealt with them. Had a few things fixed under warranty no worries, one of which was the other week I showed them some rubber around the rear windscreen that was a bit perished. They ended up replacing that and the whole window too. Ended up feeling a bit guilty wasting their time and a perfectly good windscreen over something relatively trivial. All with 3 days warranty left on the car.
  23. Sorry to be pedantic but my bottom hose connects to the side of the solenoid, not the very end. That's correct isn't it?
  24. Yanks pay about $1 a litre and they're 'struggling' hahaha
