  1. The metal where the bumper reinforcing had to be ground down about 4-5mm, just in two spots. It might have been my car only, it's where the two sides of the metal join. Not a big deal.
  2. With thanks to Kev from ProcessWest, Babs and all, the FMIC is on... grille is off bar is off stock vs ProcessWest Stage II a bit thicker a little grind to make room and we're on. Seems a bit snappier, no noticeable extra lag.. now it's time for injectors, cat and tune.
  3. I don't think it fouls, but I didn't check it carefully, will do tomorrow in daylight.
  4. first go fast bit is on, not that big a deal. FG V8 intake. Put it on when I got home tonight, only had a quick blast around the block, seems a little more responsive with a bit more up top too. All seat of the pants stuff. Comes in 2 parts, bottom half of the airbox, and the pipe that feeds it. Comparo: back front box noticeably bigger mouth looks 100% OE maybe I shoulda whacked in a K&N while I was at it. Keen for the tune now.
  5. Yeah 18s with 245 RE001s. JUst fixed the brakes, RDA slotted rotors and Remsa pads allround. Almost decent now

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

Every since I picked up my car, FG G6E Turbo, its had massive shudder above 100km/h. Made me slow down real slow at those speeds. So rather than going through the dealer skimming dramas, I went and bought new pads and discs. got RDA slotted rotors, and Remsa euro spec pads. GSL Rallysport who is a big dealer of QFM pads do not sell QFMs anymore, with the Remsas being a higher temp rated product (650 deg C) and priced better. I thought I'd give them a try. On Friday I had an hour to spare to I changed the rear discs and pads, and front pads only. See how that went. Went for a drive, bedded them in, felt ok. Took them out on the freeway, even bigger shudder than before! Really freaked me out a bit. So I slowed down, did some more braking, and then tried again. Less pronounced shudder, but still there. I had to drive 600kms on Saturday, so didn't have time to change the front discs. Finally did that today. All shudder is gone Pads feel pretty good, they need a bleed but overall I'm happy. phew.
  7. Yeah I'm considering the brake upgrade options.. I don't think good pads and rotors will do it for me. Tyres I'm OK with for now, I have newish RE001's and will go for something better and wider next.
  8. Had it a week now, and yeah I like it. Comfortable, goes ok, more than enough handling, brakes are sh*t. 3 parts arrived this week, 60lb Siemen Deka Injectors 100cpi ningnong cat Process West stage II FMIC kit. Hopefully they will get installed next week. Gave it a bit of a wash today, so though I'd take a snap. 100% stock form:
  9. cat and injectors arrived today
  10. Agreed. I would have taken any colour other than red, but I do prefer the lighter ones. 60lb injectors and 100cpl cat ordered
  11. NSW. Ex Telstra car. But pretty good cond.
  12. haha yeah I'll get some more pics soon enough. It's Kashmir, sort of a light greenish Gold. I quite like it, cus the chrome and silver front end treatment doesn't stand out that much. 56k kms, newish rubber, RE001's $29k. I don't play bowls, why do you ask?
  13. Hey all, Picked up a used G6E last thursday. I like it. This is the only photo I have so far. Will get a few more soon though. Planned mods are ProcessWest Stage 2 IC, Injectors, cat, and tune:) bye for now. Mark.
