  1. If we were doing them on separate weekends, we could do one in September and one in October? Gives people plenty of time to organise leave if they work shifts, etc.
  2. How do they all know you're well endowed? Wouldn't you need to tell/show them, lol?
  3. Where do you copy these stats from Corzza?
  4. My back hurts... Cause lifted spare wheel out of boot bending over instead of with knees.
  5. Bloody roadworks area and the idiots have the concrete barriers not flush with the ground so rocks and stuff can get out. One shredded sidewall for me :(
  6. I reckon a new front door would be easiest, I don't even know if you could panel beat it but I don't think it would be worth the effort. Any reason you chose one with damage rather than a pristine example.
  7. Hey guys, So last night as I was driving home at 3 in the morning, I came around a corner in a roadwork zone and my right front wheel clipped a rather large rock. It seems it came out from under the concrete barriers at some point. The rim is fine, just a small mark like a gutter rash (it was untouched before this :( ) but as soon as I took the wheel off, I could hear the air leaking. While I thought I missed the rock, I've obviously just clipped it and its cut open the sidewall of the tyre. So my question is, all 4 tyres (OEM) have about 25% tread left. I was planning on replacing all four with Nitto Invo's when they were worn in probably 2-3 months. Do I replace just this tyre and use the spare on the other front wheel (so they're both new tyres on the front) and just replace the other two rear tyres when they are worn out? Is there any issues with mixing tyre brands or will it be best to get another Dunflop to replace the damaged one (which I would run with the spare on the front)? I have photos of it, but I'm 99% sure its not repairable.
  8. Seriously? He was offering up an opinion, no need to get stroppy. Yep and your $46k plus $2k for the auto plus ~$2.5k for the extras gives you $50.5k for a G6ET. Mine was $52.5k but there were no discounts on the XR6T at the time. Plenty of people have got them for low $50k figures.
  9. You'd think they'd have used a bigger unit by now. I guess they worked out the failure rate costs them less in Warranty costs than paying for a better one on every car
  10. That's just what I needed to read while drinking a milkshake Panda
  11. I'll need new tyres soon, I'll need to get them sometime before Snowies Cruise. They've got probably 20% tread left at 22,000km so I'll replace them in October probably.
  12. Just been reading back through this thread and theres plenty of ideas in the first few pages for different Cruises. If we could get a Night Cruise like Vic had a year or two ago it would be awesome. They had 60 or so cars from memory and did cruise across the city with a big photo at the end, it looked awesome.
  13. When I was buying, I looked at and was basically deciding between a fully optioned XR6T and a G6ET. One thing to consider is that the Auto on the XR6T adds $2k which is included in the G6ET so when I was looking, the price difference ended up being about $2.5k. If you wanted a Manual in the XR6T then you'd have a $4.5k difference which would wipe out the 'extras' included in the G6ET and then some. For that extra $2.5k (compared to a fully optioned XR6T) you got 8-way power seats (XR6T is only 4-way), memory for the seats, electro chromatic rear-vision mirror, side turn mirror indicators (as opposed to in the side of the body which are replaced with a G6ET badge so a 'cost' there), Perimeter Alarm, Front door Scuff plates, LED lights and overhead Sunglasses holder. In the process you lost the LSD. Then you decided between softer or harder suspension. In all, I figured the extras were worth $2.5k as its likely that's a figure Ford would charge if they offered them bundled as an 'extras' pack. In terms of the LSD, the ESC/Traction Control do a similar job when they brake/accelerate each wheel or cut engine power, etc so unless you want to do burnouts or serious track sessions, you probably won't notice the LSD and the ESC stuff creates a similar effect to a real LSD, a few people who have owned both have agreed. As for suspension, that's really a personal opinion call but if you're planning on do suspension work, it really doesn't matter which one you start with in which case you go back to do you like the style of one and is $2.5k worth the extras. Not saying one is better than the other, but its really a personal call. The cost of the extras in the G6ET is not unreasonable so it comes down to the styling and how much an LSD means to you. If you're like me and didn't mind the styling of either, it came down to the G6ET having Cashmere which I thought looked really 'cool' (and I've had plenty of people complement the car for it, Ford should only promote the Cashmere in the G series), not caring too much about the LSD and planning to get a TruTrac later anyway and I figured $2.5k was OK for the extras. Same, I really like the Black but I also have the Cashmere interior. I think the Silver would look tacky with Cashmere, the Black/Cream combo works really well.
  14. Lowest I've ever gone was 11km to go and I filled 65.xxL out of the 68L capacity. Accounting for the fact that some of that wouldn't be usable, I'd say at 0km, you'd have at best 10km of freeway or 2-3 of city run before the car died on you.
  15. Mine was $1,460 for Comprehensive plus no excess Windscreen Replacement with NRMA for a 2012 FG MkII G6ET with 21yo Male Owner/Driver. I'm now at Rating 2 so next year I'll be Rating 1 which means about 10% less again (probably offset by a 10% jump in insurance prices though).
  16. I personally find the Projectors fine for general driving, I'd just consider putting HID's in for the high beam. It also means less mucking around not having to deal with the projector stuff at all.
  17. I go for Parramatta but I'm conceding defeat at the 50 minute mark (34-0), your dollars are gone Corzza :(
  18. Yeah, that's why in NSW they need to be mounted externally on the vehicle and the entire P should be vertical and visible (so mounted against the number plate rather than taped to the rear window).
  19. Excellent, it says my old iPhone 4 now has working Caller ID. I'll get the Service Department to apply the update when it goes in for the next service.
  20. Do you know, does this ICC update fix the issue with Caller ID not showing on the screen when using an iPhone with the cars Bluetooth?
  21. Yep, despite the odd dealer problem initially, I would 100% buy one again and if the F6E was available in 2016, I'd do an upgrade (it's existence is looking shaky unfortunately). As for the handling, it's softer than an XR6T which is a lot better for the commuter run but obviously makes it slightly less stable going hard around corners. If it wasn't for the regular city runs I would look at stiffer suspension, as it is my bum doesn't want anything less comfortable, lol
