  1. From memory, the ZF is rated for 650 Nm. Pity Ford didn't want to spend the money and put the better version in which is rated for 1000 Nm
  2. Black RAPID6 and cant remember the colour BPE 02U, both XR6T on Windsor Rd heading towards Baulkham Hills on Thursday. Saw a White F6 310 with rego BLO 29J in Showground Macca's at 1am this morning.
  3. Yeah, I agree. Its basically the only thing I don't like about the new model.
  4. Those wheels look awesome, if only FPV rims werent so hard to get. We need more pics
  5. The BF's have a faster transfer rate for the X-Cal (or the port on the car) too I think so the tune is heaps quicker to load in to the ECU. I'm sure there's a video somewhere of one of the forum sponsors talking about it when showing someone from here how to copy the tune over.
  6. It was a bit confusing before your last post...
  7. Vivasanti, if you're interested, do a search for Dynowog, it'll really open your eyes to the stuff some people do...
  8. The idiot must have sat there just revving it out too. You said it only did 10 km's and the fuel usage went up from 8 to 30l/100 and there's no way you'd use a 1/4 of a tank in only 10 km's... Is it Auto or Manual?
  9. What's wrong with it?? Is it the 'advertising' of the tuner?
  10. You're talking about the one opposite Cook St on Windsor Rd? (Just making sure I'm not confusing it)
  11. I believe they are set off from the 'force' of the impact rather than a specific speed. Also, the computer is intelligent so depending on the impact, it may only deploy the passengers airbag and not the drivers for example. If you're wondering why, its because airbags can cause injuries so if the impact does not necessitate them, there's no need to risk a bloody nose for no reason. Also, they're expensive to replace if you just nudged the car in front.
  12. Well the FG has lasted almost four years so it's possible that the FG MkII could last the four years to 2015 when the next platform change occurs. If they are going to go with the global program and the Taurus then it would make little sense to invest millions of dollars in the 'FH' model.
  13. I know of many people who faked long country trips to get their hours up. When I went for my P's test, the women's mouth actually dropped when she saw me hand over my four log books (the fourth was only a 1/4 full) with over 200 hours. In fact, they spent over 20 minutes verifying random pages because my parents insisted on doing it all by the book and entered the times to the exact minute, not the nearest half hour as a lot of people I know do. Then we got told off because neither of my parents ever wrote comments about what was practiced (I think they thought we must have fudged it because there were so many hours). My parents never bothered because I always drove the entire trip so there was no need for me to do a "Parking Practice" lesson when I did that on every trip. The learners system could use a good re-work too. I learnt stuff all driving on the F3. Most people do more than their 110 so all I had to do was sit in the left lane, do my 80 and steer round each corner. It was the same thing along the dual carriage way sections of the Pacific Hwy. Then just because I passed a test, it's suddenly fine for me to do 90 unsupervised as well as tow a trailer unsupervised. When I got my green P's I could suddenly do 100 and tow even heavier trailers. How does a different coloured piece of plastic suddenly make me trained and capable of travelling faster and carrying heavier loads I can't understand how people fail the Driving Test either. I got 120/120 and no fail items (I wouldn't have passed otherwise) and it wasn't too hard really. I wish the RTA would investigate the ones (like one guy from school) who fudged up almost all of his hours and got 62/120. Somehow, he managed to get no instant fail items. He basically got told "Better Luck Next Time Mate" and told to re-book in a couple of weeks You're right, restricting engine size will have little effect. Even in a Suzuki Swift, if you floor it, you can get up to reasonably high speeds and over a long, straight stretch of road, there's not much stopping any car from reaching high speeds.
  14. There's someone on SMH already claiming the "FH" will be released next year They haven't even begun production of the FG MkII yet...
  15. My Opinions: Inclusion of Curtain Airbags as Standard is a good move. Many buyers skimp on them and unfortunately they add little value at re-sale so making them standard is the only way to keep everyone safe. New Touch Screen is good. Larger 8" Size is good. Satellite Navigation as Standard on G6E and G6ET is good Standard Reverse Sensors is a plus I'm neutral on the new LED lights, I'll wait till we see a few to see whether they're more than a marketing gimmick Ability to play MP3's off any USB device is really good. Hopefully they've updated the Bluetooth as well... The new rims look OK. I don't like the new front grill. I liked the old one better. There are two important things they forgot to mention. Firstly, when exactly is it launching. The best we get is that "production begins in the fourth quarter of 2011". The Second thing there was no mention of is the price. Is it going up at all (hopefully not). Overall, I think it's a good Upgrade, although it looks like no changes were made to the drivetrain (unless they left out that stuff). I'm also curious as to what the "Optional Extra's" on the G6ET will be. All I can think of is Tow-Ball and 19-inch Rims. The GPS is now standard. Can someone explain the difference between Standard, Prestige and Premium Sound and which cars they are available in? Now, the buffoons in the Marketing Department need to get to work and actually sell this model
  16. That's pretty dangerous if the lights aren't coming on. Only takes one innatentive driver sitting behind you
  17. Hmm, some more information. The first one is interesting... Ford Reject Export Help: Wikileaks Talk on Ford clarifying their position on the Falcon post-2015 Falcon Future to be Announced in Months
  18. Hey Mate, you must be slightly older than me then or quicker in progressing on your licence. I can't get my opens till December even though I turned 20 last week It looks like you've already done a bit of research in to the models. As you correctly guessed BA MkII is better than a BA but the ideal if you can get one would be a post 06/06 BF as it has the stronger Typhoon Internals. A quick search on Car Sales shows there's not many manual BF's under 20K so I would focus on getting a good BA MkII What sort of power are you looking at making? You'll have to do the valve springs if you want to do more than a small amount of modding.
  19. Your not exactly a 'newbie'
  20. He'd have to be one of the few business owners who "doesn't think it's a major issue" when their shop ends up with a dozen bullets peppered through it And he "can't believe the fuss" when people pull out guns and start shooting buildings (all random targets of course). What's this guy on?? Now, who had their car tuned by him about a month ago... The number for Channel 10 is 03 9275 1010 if earle13 wants to use it to correct the misconceptions about Dynowog, lol.
  21. LOL. And here we have 'Nick Salamanca' the distressed Victim in this incident That reporter needs to do some research
  22. Is that the standard exhaust tip or custom? It looks similar to the standard but it's sticking out a bit more than normal... Bloody awesome car though. The rear tyres look like you've given them a shining and removed a bit of rubber in the second pic though, lol. Probs just the light though
  23. How do you guys manage to do it and get them so cheap, lol? Go in and say "$55K take it or leave it" or something and just take their bluff and refuse to budge on your price?
  24. Final Drive Ratio's can't be that hard can they? Ford advertise the Ratio for each gear as well as the Diff Ratio so is it not possible to figure it out with those numbers?
