  1. Nah, not as high as $55k but without a discount, $50k is the normal drive-away price you'll be given by a dealer. Just like a G6ET, I was told the "drive-away" price was $62,XXX but without even asking they gave me a 'discount' to $55,750. So previously the XR6T would be the same, $50k advertised, do you a 'deal' to $43-44k and then negotiate to $40k if you were good. Now they just give it to you for $40k.
  2. Interesting. So they'd be the ones you see advertised as 'Dealer Demo' with several thousand kays on them? I always assumed those sorts of cars were driven by the salesman, not staff in HQ.
  3. Lol, awesome work by the Dealerhship. In all the threads I've seen here, I've seen hardly any issues with Ford HQ, most are with the Dealers.
  4. Fair enough. What do they do with them once they hit 8,000km?
  5. Yeah, that's what I was hearing. What part makes the sound? It always sounded like it was coming from the back rather than the transmission or anything.
  6. I hope you're not going to replace the F6E... Corzza, are you gonna replace the Panda or do you get free work cars?
  7. Sometimes I wonder where these people come from to bother wasting time with such threads
  8. When I first got my car, I'd thump it and then take my foot off when I hit the speed limit and there'd be a clunk go through the car, at a guess I thought the Diff when there was the sudden change from acceleration to 0 input. Since then I take my foot of slowly rather than "letting go" of the pedal, it avoids the clunk which sounds and feels crap.
  9. What's the largest size you can go without needing to roll the guards?
  10. For it to wear down that much you must have either been running them on low PSI for a while or the alignment/camber is absolutely shot.
  11. I might come, I'd be coming from Ingleside though so I think it would be easier for me to meet you guys at Heathcote.
  12. You need to create a Clone of yourself and send it to Sydney Mick, you could double your earnings, haha.
  13. Ratter, on a stock car, assuming the chain guide hasn't jumped, no overheating, no constantly hitting the limiter, etc. What are the chances of this happening, ie. a normal car, nothing wrong, just your standard services? I'm guessing the chance is close to 0 without some other contributing factor. In that case, I'd be putting this to Ford, get them to explain how it could happen to a car where the chain hadn't jumped. Also, ratter how come the chain jumps? It sounds like it's more common than I first thought?
  14. That's one definitely ruined engine. On a stock car, how does this sort of thing happen? blueprint said the chain guide broke a couple of years ago but I've only seen pics like that on tuned cars and normally 350+ cars.
  15. Lol, they're huge SDP. What are they actually used for? Freaky hasn't surfaced yet this morning...maybe he did get lucky...
  16. Nope, the looks of that car don't do it for me, maybe I'm too young?
  17. Removing the spoiler is as simple as undoing the bolts from inside the boot. The problem is, you're then left with holes in the top of your boot. Some people have just filled them with some sort of waterproof filler (easy if you want to stick a new/different spoiler on top), others have gone all the way to paint over the holes (I have no idea how the fill it, I guess some sort of paint filler in the hole first). For the light on the parcel shelf, I believe you access it from the Boot, same area as the sub but I haven't read any threads about it for a while.
  18. Nice I like it, let us know what he comes back with. That's a sh*tload of stuff to just "loose", lol. I have one tyre with a split sidewall, the other three have about 30% tread left. What 'replacement strategy' do I take? I was going to get Nitto Invo's but I'll either end up with different wear levels if I get one now or 3 Invo's and an OEM Dunlop if I just use the Spare? Suggestions?
  19. Not a Cruise, but WA had a Maintenance Day over the weekend. It would require someone with a large (double) garage to donate it as a work area though.
  20. $330! Sheesh. Do you order yours off Ebay Boost? I noticed them around $150 but then there's shipping to Aus...
  21. Unfortunately I can't make those sort of replies, doesn't look good in a customer service side role. Lol, I just had to laugh at that. How low is the roof for them to hit the sprinkler system?
  22. How come it got sprayed with the extinguisher? It didn't look like it was on fire.
  23. What's the dessert? It looks sort of like scones?
