  1. Thanks guys, looks like I will need to get new Rims if I want Brembo's. Is there a list anywhere of what Rim width and Offset is required? eg. 8.5 needs at least +35, 9 needs at least +30, etc.
  2. I thought I'd dig this up rather than opening a new Thread. Does anyone know if 4-pot Brembo's will fit on the front under the stock 10-spoke 19" FG MkII G6ET Rims?
  3. Hey Guys, So the factory Dunlops are finally at the end of their life and in need of replacement on my G6ET. After doing a heap of looking around, I've narrowed my search (245/35/R19) down to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport and the Continental ContiSportContact 5P. The feedback I've read seems to be that the Pilot SS are superior particularly in the dry but need a bit of heat to perform their best and suffer in the wet while the CSC 5P has less grip but is more consistent in performance in both the wet and dry. Has anyone used both of these and have comments on them? I found a couple of people who were running the Pilot SS on their Rears and the CSC 5P on their Fronts to get the best of both worlds. Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/35R19 - $305 Continental ContiSportContact 5P - $355
  4. Lucky I hadn't bothered to book accommodation for Omeo, I'd been tossing up whether to go but it's more fun in a group [emoji41] Also, looks like NSW HWP have been out and about West of Jindabyne: https://www.facebook.com/TrafficServicesNSWPF/posts/1003209699744010:0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. What Workshop were they taken at?
  6. So I replied to this last week but it seems my post never actually 'posted' to the Forum for some reason. Anyway, sure can do, I did it for 2013 as well but hopefully there'll be more than three of us from NSW this time :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Count me in, I love the Snowy Mountains Cruise [emoji2]
  8. Yeah, effectively the "Recently Deleted" is like the Recycle Bin in Windows. When you delete a file, it's sent to the Recycle Bin (or Recently Deleted in iOS) and from there you have to confirm you want to Delete it or leave it for 30 days and it assumes you don't want it back. There were idiots on Twitter who actually thought it was true. I saw several photos of fried iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices. I think there were less than a dozen phones that actually bent in the first 3 days. It takes 50+kgs to bend it so you have to apply some significant force to it. And just about every other phone on the market also bends, some requiring less force and others more.
  9. Thanks guys. That's literally what's written on the Australian Defence Force recruiting site for achieving the required number of push-ups. It's written the same way for sit-ups as well. I've never been in to push ups or sit ups but if I apply to be a Pilot, I'll have to do them to pass the fitness test.
  10. OK, trying to get my head around this reps/sets thing. This for example: Push-ups. 10 Reps. 8 Reps. 6 Reps. 3 times through. 2 minutes rest between sets.So my understanding is it means: 10 Push Ups2 Minute Rest8 Push Ups2 Minute Rest6 Push Ups2 Minute RestRepeat the above 2 more times. Or is it actually: 10 Push Ups2 Minute Rest10 Push Ups2 Minute Rest10 Push Ups2 Minute RestAnd then the same for 8 push ups and then the same for 6?
  11. Thanks guys, I shall try the tips when I get home from work. As for the algae build up, is there any way to stop it? Any sort of chemical we can add to stop it growing that isn't going to also ruin the pump or washer blades?
  12. I think it may also be fed steering angle data so if you are in a turn, it maintains the gear through the turn but I'm not 100% on that! just something I remember reading.
  13. Not sure where this one should go, it doesn't really fit anywhere. So nothing is coming out of my windscreen washer nozzles (FG MkII). There's definitely fluid in the container, it was low so I filled it up but it definitely wasn't empty. I can hear the pump working, at least it sounds like its working but nothing comes out of the nozzles. I didn't like to keep pulling the lever for too long, I was afraid it might burn out the motor. I do remember reading something similar and it was a common fault but I can't find the thread. I seem to remember it being a pain in the arse to get to whatever needed fixing but it wasn't actually hard to fix...just wondering if its easy enough to fix before I take it to Ford instead (still under warranty).
  14. I read in the newspaper a couple of days ago the head of Ford AU saying that they may even close before October 2016 as sales have continued to decline at a faster rate than they anticipated. It will be a changing of the guard for Australian economics and employment, the final conclusion to our manufacturing workforce and the final fulfilment of our move to a service based economy rather than a goods based economy.
  15. From the stuff I've read (so don't take it as Gospel), the FH is due in Q3 2014 so between July and September. As for the ZF, it's still supposed to be the legit ZF for the performance variants (XR6T, G6ET and XR8) and they are stockpiling ZF 6HP26 (rated for 600Nm) models for this as ZF stop making them at the end of 2014. There was an article from quoting some ZF rep as saying they were negotiating with Ford on how many they would be ordering in 2014 as Ford had indicated they would stockpile them and were estimating their sales of the performance variants. The rest of them (XT, XR6, G6, G6E, etc.) that currently use the ZF 6HP19 (rated for only 450Nm) will get the 6R60 I think is the model number which is the Ford version of the ZF. As for Power, the rumors are that the XR8 will inherit the 335kw V8 engine currently in the GT-P and GT-E while the XR6T and G6ET will inherit the 310kw I6T currently in the F6. Ford have already done the R&D for those engines so the rumor is they'll use them as a selling point for the new models as not just a 'looks' overhaul but also 'new' engines.
  16. 'Intune' have an alternative name. They're more commonly known here as 'Pingtune'. If you do a search, there's a few horror stories from them, I think they were even the ones who left a rag in an engine (can't remember for sure though)
  17. I saw FPV XXX on Monday night along the Hume Hwy past Harry's
  18. As far as I am aware, there isn't any official approval from ZF, the same message has been on other Gulf Western drums. Someone went through and compared specs in a thread, it doesn't meet exactly the same specs as the ZF fluid. It's missing a few (4 I think) but whether this matters or not in the real world is debatable and experience shows if it does have an effect it's not critical.
  19. Yeah, I ended up getting home fine, about 9:15 PM I think. I went straight to bed, lol Lol, I told them about that one on Saturday. It kinda paled in comparison to Keith's car story, at least mine was repairable As for statistics: Total Driving Time: 30:50 Total Distance: 2150 Kms Average Speed: 89 Km/h Total Fuel Used: 308.15 Litres Average Economy: 12.0 L/100km Close Encounters: 1 - Almost ended up plastered with a Wallaby by mm's. Turned a corner, accelerating out of it at the front of the pack and in front of me coming across from right to left is this bloody wallaby. Sam said I had that expression in my rear view mirror too. It was an awesome weekend away. Definitely going back again next year and bringing a GoPro or something with me, you miss so many moments that Gary on his own can't capture (like Sam's under-steer). Tony can tell his story about the Wombat too now...
