In this case I think it was 100% the right decision. The mother effectively kidnapped the children by bringing them here while they were the subject of an Italian Court Order. As far as I can tell, the father hasn't done anything wrong, he seems to be the poor sod being marginalised and excluded from their lives. Can you imagine if it was the father who bought them here? He would have been arrested long ago :( Mum has obviously been bad mouthing their father to them, the eldest who spent 14 of her 15 years in Italy reckons "all of my friends are here (Australia)" The media are just as bad saying they've been 'forced' to return to their dad; our Court has actually ordered them back to the Italian Court who will decide their fate. The media reckon they were treated harshly by the Police when they detained them; the AFP had a warrant for them to be taken to DOCS. I'm sure the girls were advised they needed to go with the Police and when they resisted, the Police did their job and carried out the warrant. It's like people getting pissed at Police for doing them for mods, they're just doing what the Government/Court asked of them. Yeah it would suck. Thankfully I've never had to go through this sort of thing. The mother only did this because she thought Australian Courts would favour her for custody (has family, house, job, support, etc. here). She didn't want the custody to be sorted out in Italy because she knew the father would get primary custody as he has all his family, friends, job, etc. are there. She obviously didn't realise that the moment they began divorce proceedings there in which the children were a subject of, The Hague Convention forces the dispute to be resolved in the original country. She was doomed to lose them the day she bought them back here.

So, those four Italian girls living in QLD are on their way back to Italy via Singapore. Mum was finally forced to accept the original court decision.

Fg, Bluetooth Mobile - Quality Issues
PookeyMaster replied to Timmy-XR6T's topic in Audio/Visual Workshop
I contacted Ford directly about my Caller ID issues and after spending 45 minutes on the phone with a CSR and being transferred to an Electrical 'Expert' (he seemed to know his stuff, just seemed like an odd title, haha). They both confirmed that as per the manual I had and as per Ford's (their) guides, it should work on my handset. I'm in the process of drafting a letter to the Customer Service Manager and Service Manager at the Dealer in regards to this as I was explicitly told by the Service monkeys when I picked the car up the first time that my handset wasn't supported... -
You haven't gone through the job application process for government jobs, lol. 3 week advert then 2-3 weeks before interviews then another 2-3 weeks for security checks or child protection, etc. Some are 12 weeks from Advert to Offer...

Well, how do you know you are getting a quicky on Sunday? It's not like you to have these things planned out so far in advance, haha

I always take the day off work. I always get light headed for several hours afterwards, not good with needles.

I managed to score free members tickets to the NRL Grand Final late last week. Right on half way, cordoned of from the public, haha. Best bit is I've been told I won't have to queue all match for a beer cause the bar only deals with a limited number of people At least they tackle for real in NRL, none of this pansy sh*t

Whats The Best Brand Fuel ?

So I take it there isn't anything that will do that cheaply then? -
That's basically what I want to do. Getting your Private Pilot Licence is not too expensive, it can be done for $10,000 as long as you don't take a 6 month break from it and pass everything first go. Most people do it over 12 months on weekends because it doesn't allow you to make money at the end so you need a normal job to keep you going. Then it's anywhere from $25,000 to $50,000 to get your Commercial Pilot Licence which allows you to make money. The cheap route won't get you in to airlines, you need to pay extra to get the night certifications and instrument certs, etc. Once I've done that, then I'll find a smaller airline to build up hours while I get my Instructors Rating (you earn more money from that) and then while I'm an instructor complete the ATPL which you need to fly passenger jets. As for the Qantas thing, they still do it but they currently have an intake freeze as they're cutting costs. In 5 years though they'll be after heaps because they're in a similar situation as Teaching with heaps of retiring baby boomers. There's a good reason for that in Australia. The unions in their infinite wisdom made the airlines long ago to agree to attempt to redeploy pilots who fail their medical's through no fault of their own. Say they lose their eye in a car accident or something. Having a degree allows them to redeploy you easier. As most of the Uni degrees are majority management subjects, it allows them to put you pretty much anywhere. Using UNSW as an example. You can do the Batchelor of Aviation in either Flying or Management. Half the subjects in each are identitcal while the other half focus on the specific area. So Management learn about accounting, law, etc. specific to the Aviation field while the Flying students learn how to fly (at $120,000 of which is not under HECS). I was looking at Rex a while back and they do what Qantas used to do. They pay for all the training upfront (or most of it) and you then have to work for them for a set period of time. Qantas don't do it anymore cause they have more than enough people trying to get in.

:( It's up to $255 now. It was $240 when I put the link up.

This price looks pretty good... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-GoPro-HD-Hero2-MOTORSPORT-Helmet-Video-Camera-SONY-8GB-Melb-Stock-/140857790151?pt=AU_Video_Cameras&hash=item20cbc74ec7

You have to add postage to that price which for me makes it $298. I'm guessing this is the best deal that's come round for a while? I know when I looked a few months ago they were $349...

You're basically deciding to buy in to an ecosystem when you buy a smartphone. You either go with Apple's 'walled garden' and its advanatages of security and the 'it just works' thing but lose choice in different settings such as the browser as mentioned or you go with Android and get the choices and cheaper apps and everything but lose the 'walled garden' security. Nope, you're not doing it wrong. It's a carrier setting that decides whether it goes to Voicemail. If I log on to the Optus website, I can change what happens to the call (divert to voicemail or just hang up) depending on whether I'm already in a call, don't answer, out of coverage range, etc. It's not an iPhone setting that sends it to Voicemail. I actually only have an iPhone, no iPad or Mac or anything, lol. I don't go round putting down Android though, each to their own what they prefer

That stuffs cool Jet, haha. Yeah Paulie, it's the Air Transport Pilot Licence that's required for airlines that is expensive. $1000 per test and there's 7 you have to sit, pay again if you fail and want to re-sit. Then there's all the theory and training for that licence plus the minimum required hours. At least freight just needs the standard commercial licence.
-
Yeah, their licensing agreement with Google ended and they decided not to cough up another $500 million to include it. Instead Google went and made their own. Now there's ads in the new one in exchange for being able to view more videos than before.

Well, do you disagree with my analysis? I don't deny there are serious issues with the maps but to say iOS 6 is rubbish isn't quite right. The rest of it is good and not that it helps us, but if you're Chinese it's a significant improvement.
