  1. Hey Alf, Im not sure where the next weakest link will be. At the moment I am using the standard crank, which has been tidied up a bit. Cams and head work is what will drive the revs up and then we will see what happens form the crnk point of view. I understand billet cranks are pretty expensive - I think Brian said his was worth around $5K, so we will see what happens. I think Brians is revving out to about 7200-7500rpm. I am hoping to have a little higher rev than that to get some really strong top-end at the track. Phil
  2. Ive run 650rwhp out of the Process West plenum on mine and will be running around 800hp very soon. I dont expect to be changing the plenum so I have no doubt it will manage the power without problems. This was on a T51R running about 25-27 PSI. The rev limit of the engine (about 6200rpm) was the limiting factor. This should be fixed shortly as well
  3. Either nite is good for me. I would be keen on the mini grand prix. Sounds like it is shaping up well. Beers, Barbie and Karting = Awesome!
  4. Im also a fan of Norwest. I work here and am just across the lake from most of the restaurants. The italian place - Trevi's - is pretty good. Service is a little slow, but if your not in a rush they do excellent food and beverage. It is a classier place and priced accordingly. The other restaurants are ok - they have Vietnamese, Japanese, Italian, Modern Australian etc.
  5. I would be in for after the 24th as well
  6. 10inch is do-able. I have a set of 20x10"s for the back of my BA.
  7. Fair call Marcus.
  8. B&M make a silver metal knob for the pro rathce shifter which I put on mine and it looks very slick. Heath, mine looks pretty much the same as yours except I got the leather boot made from the same leather as the interior with the same red ford stitching that is in the seats.
  9. The same as Leighs - Pro Ratchet
  10. A few things...... Just not many Nice job too Leigh. It looks good.
  11. I have surrounded my B&M shifter with a leather gear boot I had made from a trimmer. I haven't got a pic handy, but it looks like it could have come from the factory.
  12. Saw some info, pics and vids on the calias forums on this car and it looks like a solid package. Would be interesting to know if it was full weight (ie. interior) or stripped back a bit.
  13. The plan is definitely to be pushing well into the 9 sec barrier real soon! Its just takes along time to get the set-up right so you dont blow stuff up each time you go out!
  14. Awesome work mate! Not far in front of you now. I have some work to do... although I know that you and I both will be climbing that ladder a little further in the near future.
  15. Any news yet on how Leigh went??
  16. Leigh, definitely get to using the transbrake. I have seen plenty of guys smashing their diffs by stalling up on the footbrake. The word I hear (and what we've seen with the limited passes my car has run) is that there is much less stress on the diff. I guess it then just depends on the power output as to how long the diff will last.
  17. Leigh, have you had your tune touched up yet? Or are you doing it when you come up before you go to the track? If you are sorted with some more boost - where did you get too?
  18. Good luck Leigh. I know you can deliver the goods and keep us Sydney boys pushing to the top of the XR6T record table! I really hope it doesnt rain for ya mate.
  19. Id rather have a car that is a little unique instead of looking the same as every other falcon out there.... Havent done it to turn it into a ricer..... At the end of the day, doesnt bother me if its not your cup of tea....
  20. Dont know if its just me, but I think they can look alright....
  21. Sure looks the goods Leigh. Awesome to see a few NSW boys stepping it up! I better get back out there soon. How big did you go with the cams? The street, race or custom jobs?
  22. The current quickest VL turbo - BOOSTN - is running over 1000rwhp. It has run 7.98 down the strip.
  23. A little cutting - it just depends what you want. This cooler works well with the way the setup is. It is purpose built for the strip, so may not be the best for street applications, especially with the range of options around now.
  24. I dont have any pics with the front bar off. This is the latest I have after fitting.
  25. Custom piping bud - dont think they have a off-the-shelf set for these coolers. Due to their length there is some cutting involved!
