  1. Here are some pics on a black car. Its a nice kit - side skirts are replacement items and the front and rear aprons fit over the originals. It adds a nice FAT look to the car.
  2. Definitely CAPA edit at MRT - Ive had my car done there and it is down there getting some tweaks as we speak. Cant wait to get it back! They do Ecutek flashes for scoobies and EVO's

    Edit

Pepe MRT at Ryde 02 9767 4545 Good tuners - getting some really good edit results at present
  4. Sorry to end up missing the cruise guys - I have been 'sick as a dog' and am still unpatiently waiting for my gearbox to return from Kewish in VIC, so I was without the car anyways. Hopefully I will see you at the next one! Phil
  5. Awesome run mate! Congrats
  6. For the whole set - then add some more $$ for fitting I would imagine.
  7. Bain, I have posted a few pics in another post on Rim sizes, but just for you. The first one is with the King Springs, the second is with the Whiteline gear. Phil
  8. I have a set of the group 4 coilovers on my T. They are a nice riding unit. Whiteline are going to use the car to test some drag setups as my power ups go. I have a fairly neutral setting at the moment and it rides very nicely. Stage one was only 250 odd rwkw so the demands on the suspension werent alot for the track - Stage 2 will be another thing though so we will see what happens as Im hoping to have the car back in the next week or so. I currently have the height set at what the car was previously with King SSLs in the back and SLs in the front over 20inch wheels
  9. The turbosmart supersonic has a really nice and loud Woooosh when coming off the accelerator at revs, otherwise with mild acceleration it has a wicked little chatter - courtesy of a bigger intercooler methinks!

    Rim Sizes?

Ive bought 3 sets of rims over the last 3 years from Tempe - never had a problem My 2c

    Rim Sizes?

FAT 5IX your ride looks PHAT!
  12. If you look at the turbosmart adapter replacement pipework it places the BOV in the same position. Ive never had a problem at this point and Ive had the BOV on since I got the car, but then again I have not driven the new configuration yet so I will let you know. Will let you know about throttle response and pricing as soon as I know. Hopefully within the week.

    Rim Sizes?

Each to their own people. For me I love em and have had nothing but great comments from all I have spoken to and seen the car in the flesh. I have 225/35 on the front which fit the 8.5inch rim just fine and 245/35 on the rear at the moment - these will be getting wider when these ones fry out. I will be running 275's with MT's on my drag rims. Big brakes are on the way - gotta have something to fill the gap - $6K or so for a decent set is not small potatoes so it all takes time

    Rim Sizes?

I currently have 20 X 8.5 on the back. I have 225/35's on the front so that they dont rub on anything. I also have a whiteline flat-out suspension kit - coilovers on the front and fully adjustable rears. At the moment I dont have the back too low, about the same height as my SSL King springs were previously The left piccie is with the SSLs, the right with the whiteline gear
  15. Not sure on this yet - time will tell once it goes on the dyno for tuning. Your right about it effectively increasing the plenum capacity without changing the OEM plenum. HFT have been working on this design for months and trialled a couple of different versions, opting in the end to retain the OEM airbox and not relocate the battery to remain cost competitive - that's about all I know at the moment. I dont believe the placement of the BOV had any significant impact on the choice of pipework layout. Yeah a little bling never hurt - the polished pipework and frount mount look good in the flesh - cant wait to get it tuned and on the road again - its been a while - 300+ rwkw here we come.
  16. Yep it sure does - the pipework is 3inch across the top and reduces to 2 1/2 inch down under the battery. They decided against a kit that would relocate the battery, but have another kit which they are still working on I believe for a left-right flow intercooler, pipework and plenum with relocated throttle body.
  17. Hi everyone, Just thought I would post a couple of pics on some new pipework that Hyperflow (HFT) and MRT have just developed. My car has only just come back from HFT and as yet has not been tuned. I dont have pricing yet either - this is part of the development program with HFT and MRT. You will notice they have gone with a relocated throttle body. It should be interesting to see how the car tunes up. This probably wont be done until early next week as the g/box is getting done at the moment. I will keep you posted on dyno results and pricing as I get it. HFT have made the pipework to support their direct-fit intercooler and will no doubt have a complete kit of intercooler and pipework in the very near future.
  18. Well done a great looking car mate. Who said too low! If ya like it low, then low you go
  19. Nice looking ride mate. You could drop the back a little more, but would need custom springs and probably new rear shocks for this. Any mods to the motor yet?
  20. Hi guys, I should be there. Im fairly new to the forum and would love to meet up with a few of the sydney crew. I will probably have 1 passenger. Cheers, Phil
  21. I saw these in the flesh at the powercruise in Sydney where they had a stand. In 19 inch chrome they looked awesome. I would have considered them for my ride for sure.
  22. I have an MRT/HFT front mount and it is a good unit. Its a straight bolt-up kit. HFT are also currently working on a new piping set to go with the cooler. It should be worth the wait Im told.
  23. Brian, Thanks for posting up the MRT info. I have my car down with them at the moment and I too can vouch for the fact that they are making huge inroads into the tuning process with the flash software. Brett and the boys are very thorough and have done alot of research and development recently for the XR6T. I will let you know how my car turns out.
  24. Not so sure about the legalities, it wasnt my primary concern upon purchasing, and hopefully I will never test out the finite properties of impact reaction!! Thanks for the comments on the car - I have been working pretty hard to get good look for it. As XR6T has said - it looks much better in the flesh! Hopefully I can catch up with some of the Sydney T crew in the near future. Phil
  25. XR6T, Thanks for the compliment - by the time I get back in a few weeks hopefully it will have some more power to go with it. I will give it a test at WSID when I return. The guys at MRT have really been coming along in leaps and bounds in recent times with their tuning capabilities, worth a look if you ever want some work done. ENVI, The bonnet has been great - all the latches were already built into the glass - havent had any probs at all.
