have to be careful what you say marky I remember it was only 3 months ago and you telling me you would never take your car to chiptorque or any other tuner.and that lee had done your cars for 10 yrs now and he is the only 1 for the job but anyway mate I offer you the best of luck with your new mods and hopefully you receive the service you are after but just remember not to burn bridges as you never no when you might have to cross it again cheers and that's suprising rabs I didnt think you could miss a melon like yours
  2. I paid $30 per litre of BTA it retails of ford for $59 ltr cheapest I could find in 20ltr was thru motospecs and is $698 trade and there steel pan kits are about $249 trade ii purchased 6ltrs from BTA (ali) was a great help and after a basic pan swap and filter I had about a ltr left over I think its wel worth the exercise especially if car has a few kms on it mine has 110km and for oil lasting for life no need to service as ford says I will be still doin mine every 20k cheaper then replacing the box
  3. I have upgraded my zf from plastic pan to metal pan although I have only done 1000kms since I cant see how there could be a problem if the later fgs come with a metal pan why cant a bf have it fitted surley they havent changed the box that much and I purchased genuine zf oil from BTA motorsports )ali) after the service the box feels so much better alot smoother when selecting gears doesnt clunk into reverse anymore ill wait and see but im pretty keen to stick with the metal pan and yes you can still purchase the plastic and suppose to have come down in price also
  4. hey mate im pretty sure there name is s/h automotive they supplied me with my steel pan kit for ZF and I have read they do complete service with new pan and genuine zf oil for $495 or $595 there phone # 02 9316 8989 in there in botany which is cheap for a genuine oil zf service
  5. hey buddy I tryed the same thing if I let it prime to pump shuts of it takes few more revolutions but like you say if I hit the button half way thru the prime cycle it starts perfect as standard strange 1 so do your 044 turn on with intank pump and stop when its primed also or are the 044 continous running ?????????
  6. hey mate yeah cheers I think it might have been a thread u posted on other forum about it and no its not tuned hopefully next week to lees @rdp and I would have thought you couldnt over prime as the regulator only gonna hold so much pressure in the rail I think your right on track about the injector cycle hopefully a tune will sort it cause I dont really like it
  7. hey guys I just fitted my new walbro gss340 intank pump assembly complete with new sender unit now it is all ok and works fine except now when cranking to start it does 5or 6 revolutions before firing where as before it would only maybe do 3 revolutions I have read this sumwhere else before but didnt get a outcome I also fitted new inline filter and the 2 pipes either side of the filter as I hurt the nuts on last service all I can think of it doesnt prime as quickly as the genuine pump but you would think surely a higher rated pump should prime quicker and the fuel that came out of the filter was pretty clean this time not like the 1st time I changed its only done 3000kms since last fitted and another newy today
  8. I just purchased my CES zorst today I went with the HPC dump mild steel sys with S/S reasonator and muffler twin 3" perforated tips main reason I went this way is 1 of my very good mates works there so I did get a bit of a discount and the owner trev is letting my mate and myself fit it on a saturday morning free of charge and atleast you no its made in aus any dramas there just around the corner and there quality is up there with the best of any zorst in australia I cant say for sure ive never owned a x-force but you just hear way to many stories of them always rattling hitting the body that's what turned me away from them and not to mention every 2nd xr6/f6 has a x-force but I guess they would be best bang for buck no doubt
  9. im not putting this sukr back on and I have ordered sum of the atomic anchorlox best idea ive seen so far a little dear @$110 for the kit but I reckon will be worth every cent do it once and forget about it not have to worry bout em coming loose all the time

  11. hey guys just wondering wat peoples thoughts are on removing the bottom turbo mount bracket I have heard its best to leave it of as it makes for such a hard time for removal and install and have heard sum cars didnt even come out with them from factory your thoughts
  12. hey guys I removed my turbo and manifold last night and I had a bugger of a time gettin the bottom front bolt/stud and it has to be removed if it still has the factory support bracket of the block and mount I managed to crack it with the ring end and get the rest with open end the actuator bracket is the thing that makes it hard but just be persistent you will get it
  13.
