  1. So after months of replacing things to get my car running right again... still no luck. ill start with the car - its a 03 ba xr6 turbo, no mods other than k&n(spending too much to get it running, would have loved to spend that money on mods) Im experiencing spluttering and stalling, both idling and normal driving. the spluttering is worse once I hit boost - so im thinking fuel? ive replaced turbo, injectors, plugs, leads, fuel filter, and still got the problem. The last mechanic I took it to said because its not constant it could be electrical, made a bit of sense so ive ordered new coils (will be here tomorrow). Also noticed that my ABS light is flickering as its shuddering. Now he's had the car a bit more he's saying fuel pump. I called a few mobs (hitech, coventrys, auto1 ect) and they all say that you cant just replace the 'pump' you have to buy the whole cradle. Is this true? Im sure I saw some pumps advertised as 'direct replacement' for xr6 turbo. Im not looking to upgrade to something massive, but I would like to keep it as an intank pump and as close to standard as possible, unless its around the same price to put a slightly bigger one in? I know the gss 340 is intank, but will it fit in standard cradle ect? So, is there a direct replacement for a ba xr6 turbo fuel pump?
  2. yeah ill give you that.. I did type it in a way that would confuse anyone unintentionally. I do appreciate the help and apologise for the smartass comment incase anyone was wondering I ended up going standard injectors.. but still have my problem of spluttering/stalling. have done new turbo (needed one anyway), new injectors, new plugs, leads, fuel filter.. ive got new coils been delivered on monday.. whats left after that?? just the fuel pump?
  3. Did you...? I've got the injectors and I've got the tune booked, but I'll need a bigger fuel pump? So I'll get the fuel pump, then do the tune and injectors at the same time..
  4. ok, so ive bit the bullet and just got some 60lb and a sct x3 tuner. BUT what intank fuel pump will suit this?? the only other mod ive done is k&n filter. But exhaust and intercooler are a few months off. I'd like to get the fuel pump before I put the injectors in and take it in for the reprogram. cheers heaps
  5. Cheers heaps Last injectors I got cleaned was $150 but they were stock au. Bit dissapointed as I've found new 42lb dekas for $200 so figured that would be the best bet Guess I just get mine cleaned??
  6. Done filter, no difference. Tried injector cleaner, made it run decent for 4 days...
  7. It's a standard ba Xr6t 4spd. Have been told by two separate mechanics that it's injectors, car spluttering at idle and take off. A 1990 Hyundai is quicker at the moment :(
  8. Hey guys, My injectors are shot, so its my best chance to get upgraded ones, but will I need a tune?? Im looking at 42lb's delphi/lucas injectors. I have no other mods other than k&n filter. I've searched the forum for hours and keep getting different and mixed answers. I am planning to get new exhaust and new intercooler in the next 3 months if that helps. Cheers Steve
