  1. Well I will start off the 20-25 bracket, but I know theres more out there...
  2. I read through most of this thread and TBH I tuned out for a while with the talk about Nascrap and the hillbilly perspective.... however, both cars are utterly awesome and I would own either without being disappointed in my choice. I really don’t think there is a "better" car between the two in general, only better for someone’s needs and taste.... oh and fanboyism
  3. Just move to Canberra and drive whatever you want!
  4. Definately.... I am insanely anal with my cleaning, so I can understand why some people might have troubles but I spend alot more time cleaning the outside (Black) compared to the inside. So if your a little on the lazier side or possibly kids/pets then go with Black. Luckily I have neither.
  5. Sorry I didn't see this one... Here is a pic but it was taken on my phone so it's a terrible shot. Cashmere looks alot better (on certain colours) than black IMO, as long as you clean your car But, I have seen some G6's with shocking black stains on them!
  6. Mine is Black with Cahmere, the outside is harder to keep clean than the inside. However I am not a pig and dont let cops in my car... seriously though, I gave it a real good thorough clean when I first got it, now all it needs is a quick vacuum every couple weeks and to shampoo and condition the leather. I love the black with cashmere.... looks amazing
  7. Agreed... Nothing grandpa about these cars, they would scare the sh!7 out of most grandapas anyway. I'm loving mine and I am 24, starting to see more younger people in these as they become more affordable.
  8. I managed 8.9/100kms on my way to Shell Harbour from Canberra in the G6ET. Was pretty happy with that... haven't had it long enough to clock any crazy high numbers, first week I had it I averaged 14.8/100... and I gave it a fair few stabs too. Very happy so far!
  9. There are a few in the ACT too, incredibly hard to spot!! The ZF box is amazing, and there is little doubt about it being the better gearbox. BUT, some people just prefer a manual and theres nothing wrong with that. So I would go down to the local dealer, test drive one of each and see which one you prefer.
  10. Same for me as well, 24 and have had no issues... I know what your talking about with under 25's out there, but to be honest I find that the older guys are the ones trying to race at the lights and acting like morons on the road. Might just be the type of person these things attract though, different story driving a WRX or something similar.

I got mine yesterday with NRMA, $1200 for an '08 G6E Turbo (stock), insured for $35k, no windscreen or hire car options, with an excess of $800 plus the extra for under 25yrs. As I'm only 24 I think that is a pretty good deal, and have always had good service from NRMA despite some horror stories I have heard. Aami wanted $1400, so it was an easy choice. I find with insurance that the prices seem to fluctuate a lot over time with different companies, best bet is to get a quote for the ones your willing to go with and go for the best deal at the time.
