Hey, Yeah that's what I said above, anything can be stolen; it is all about locating the missing unit. And, that you need to hide the transmitters well. We've had Ferraris, Mercs, Porches etc with hi-tech alarms go missing in broad daylight and from highly secure facilities. And you are right about using trucks, they are almost all done with trucks and are worked on (opened, started or rebirthed) later. So: *If it is a joyride (though rare with new Fords) - Primarily, original keys are used. Joyrides usually result in an arson within hours. *If a vehicle is targeted for certain parts, this will usually occur immediately after the theft had occurred. *And if the vehicle is set for a rebirth; if it is not recovered in the first two weeks, it generally is not coming back. Cheers

Oh yeah, so Headsex, do you guys sell such a thing? Do you have a website? Cheers

This one looks ok: http://carboncarsystems.com.au/viper-smart-start-smart-phone-alarm-operation-gps-tracking-p-350.html

We have had plenty of instances where a vehicle is stolen, and located in a garage or warehouse once the vehicle is stationary. Often recovering multiple additional vehicles. However, crooks are more than aware of these transmitters and their first move once the vehicle arrives at such a storage location is to remove them. As such, transmitters need to be well hidden. I have also had vehicles stolen with tracking, and as soon as it is located stationary, it is already stripped of what the thieves wanted. Wheels, brakes, front seats etc. The apps with a dedicated server would definitely be most successful, real-time, reliable mobile tracking, so you/Uniform Police can get to the storage location as briskly as possible. I'm gonna do it, and hide the transmitter where no one will find it. Cheers

Thank you sexual harrassment Panda - Looks like you actually read the post. Do you have a GPS alarm at the moment? To the others: Motor Vehicle Theft Investigation is what I do... Feel free to ask me questions

Hi All, **I'm sure this has been done, but the results I am getting from the site are all quite dated. Seeking an alarm system for a new F6; more specifically, something with GPS tracking and notifications via iphone app, keypad or similar. As a motor vehicle theft investigator, I know the harsh reality of this industry and that all the ant-theft devices in the world won't stop it being stolen. Finding it again (and finding it fast) is the key. 1. Anyone personally had a similar system installed recently? 2. Can anyone recommend a (trustworthy) alarm supplier and installer in Melbourne? Thanks boys!

Thanks mate! Just spoke to him, getting them done next week. Stoked.

Hey CLuTZ, Looks like it's sitting pretty low for just springs; are they not coilovers? A great height anyway... Exactly what Springs are they? Cheers

Hey 234FPV, Sorry for delay. Yes - as long as you are 100% honest about the mods, then all should be fine. As I mentioned, I am with AAMI with the F6 and cheaper than Shannons. It is just that IF you needed to make a claim for a total loss; the claim process would be more extensive and much more of a headache should you be with AAMI and not Shannons, for example. But they will pay, eventually.

Xr8 Airbox & Catback Exhaust - Tune Needed?
shadowboxa replied to shadowboxa's topic in FPV PERFORMANCE INC.
Hey Dillz, Is that your airbox, with a hole-saw taken to it? I was thinking the XR8 box with a larger snorkel, would draw real cold air from the mouth near the grill? When we were young and stupid; we used to cut holes in the guard and get cold air from there. Seems many performance cars have pod filters and "cold" air intakes that draw warm air straight from the engine bay like yours. If you think the XR8 or $500 growler is a waste of money, perhaps I will give it a go... Would not have thought of that. Thanks mate! -
Hi Guys, Have a brand-spanka F6 sedan and was going to do all the big bolt-on mods but think I will wait a little while now, for warranty reasons. I now just want to do: a cat-back exhaust and XR8 Bottom airbox section and snorkel (greater intake diameter) *Does anyone believe that a tune will be require due to the increased air intake. Is it going to pop any codes? *I know you can get away with a catback and no tune, but I just thought the intake, in conjunction with the new exhaust may just tip it over the edge? I am only hoping to get a little throttle response and some noise out of this. Is there any actual power gain (not just the psychological gain...) Thanks!

I already looked but the search results on this are rubbish - 99% threads and posts are irrelevant. I thought it was a fair question...

**Hi all. Been a member for a while, though first personal thread. Thanks to all for the amazing info I've absorbed from this site to date** Now, I have an FG F6 and wondering if anyone else has concerns of the optimal time to allow the engine to cool after a good thrash. I always drive very quiet in the last 2 mins or so prior to garaging and let the engine idle for about a minute before shutting off. I find that this almost always prevents the thermo fans from kicking in after I cut the ignition, so must being doing some good. How do you guys cool your machines - if at all? Does anyone run a turbo timer, is there such an animal for new Fords? Thanks!
