Hey guys has anyone tried fitting this type of cooler to their fg. They use them on blown hotrods so I would think that they will cool enough and if you get on of the dual pass ones they should be fairly easy to fit up. Anyway tell me what ya think.

Yeah ok Jon is a good friend and would set it up no worries and Brian at Pedders is a customer aswell, I know that brad the young fella who works for Jon had his ute done there and was not happy. Bionic, can you do the alignment with my 20's on, I think you have seen photo's of my car, I have the inox removable lip rims and the those lips are 200 bucks each plus fitting which I can tell you is a suckful job. I dont mind paying as long as my car is looked after and the job is done properly, someone like yourself that is into cars as much as us seems like a good choice. I dont drive mine much so after lowing it I haven't worried about it but I would like to get it done though.

Arh no worries just wanted to make sure that if you were talking to the same people as I got mine from then this is what they would probably give you. I think your around the same area as me brownsplains/hillcrest, I work right next door to this place and getting a wheel alignment scares me, partly because of my rims ( im worried about the machine damaging them and there lack of caring ) and partly because I just don't know how good of a job they will do.

Hey mate if these monroe's are the one's that are gold in colour they are sh#te, had them in my au lowered really harsh on bumps, I have billy's now which are supposed to be alittle harsh and the monroe's where way worse, also had them in my daughters tg gemini again very harsh and actually ask the supplier to swap for boges, which were alot better aswell. Think hard about this one mate. On another note who do you get to wheel align your car?

Sorry Bellato I missed your post, yeah the wheels fit really well, not much room on the inside or the outer on the rear, fronts have heaps.Mines lowered aswell mate here are a few better photo's of it, and now with the xr8 bonnet. When you look at the photo's of these they appear to only have one lambda point , is there two types maybe, an early one and a later revised model. Anyway it will be an 18 x 1.5 pitch they all are, these bungs are getting harder to find as umbrako who used to make them don't do them anymore. The one supplier that I know of got a hole heap made up but they were parallel instead of being tapered ( if not tapered they will wind all the way through into the exhaust and wont seal properly ). Anyway hopefully an exhaust shop will have these.

Hey mate just read your first post again, did you do the gearbox while before or after this tune, im wondering if it is slipping and thus not getting all the power to the rears, just a thought.

Holy s@#t, I hope ( sought of ) that there is an easy fix problem with this, looking to get my car tuned very soon with Clinton and I was hopeing for around 300-305rwkw. Mate as said here I would check the exhaust I would think that Clinton could tell whether the injectors are the problem while tuning it, but I could be wrong. Clinton is from what I've heard pretty swithed on with these cars,so if he thinks its the vavle springs then I would probably be inclined to go with him on it, the other thing is of course he was there and non of us were, this is why I say maybe listen to him.that's not to say that the suggestions here arn't good ones, they are, just we are all guessing he had it in front of him on a dyno. I hope what ever it is it's an easy fix. Good luck mate.

Wenier, no actually you probably dont here much about it, but I can tell you there are cars being stolen while they are been filled, or as someone has already said valueables taken and then they run off.Im not saying this is something you or maybe any of us would do, but im telling you it happens. Fpvf6 yes actually im happy with my car other than this. TAB I've noticed that in alot of the post on this forum as a mod. you seem to get involved in very childish banter,normally with Dillz, sometimes I see your point sometimes I dont, mate you need to take a chill pill I was only responding to something that bomber wrote in what he would like, I just added to the wish list, no one mentioned anything about the auto windows up and down leading to cars being stolen from petrol stations keep up ffs it was the no locking or locking fuel flap that I was talking about. Anyway everyone has different likes and dislikes this is just what I would like. If we have this many different likes and dislikes imagine how the car companies feel trying to pls everyone. Bottom line is I still love my car and would choose it over any other car out there in its price range.

Mate if you think that these car are unstealable without the key then you wrong, in the time that it takes for you to pay for your fuel your car could be stolen about 4 times over, quickest I've seen it done including braking in 45.6 secs.Moral of the story if they want it they will take it, but if your door is open they will just get it quicker. And no im not in favour of this act, it was an excercise in training for a job.

Yeah thanks mate, they seem to vary as to how much they get most are just over 300 with 19's, so with 20's loose about 10rwkw so I thought it might be close. See I go soon hopefully.

Pookeymaster, no the 08 did not lock at all, but you think about it get out at the servo to get fuel, lock the car walk round to open fuel flap, it's locked, yep that's smart. Leave the car open someone jumps in and steals it ( not like that hasn't happened before ). I had a ba xr8 before this, the fuel flap set up with a button was fine, why change it. And just to top it of, the boss is looking at getting me a new BT50 ute, the drivers window has automatic up and down. Lets face it Ford skimped out and f#$ked up.

I tell you what, I would just settle for automatic power windows up and down, that's one thing I can't believe my g6e turbo doesn't have, even my 06 camry altise has this.For the price of these cars, automatic up/down on all windows should be a given, and what idiot decided that it was a good idea not to make the fuel flap lockable, this is a ford derived vehicle I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. They made a great car and fell short of making a fantastic car because of small short comings like this.Stop skimping out.

Mate do yourself a favour and listen to the guys, drive alittle further and go to Autotech, they have been doing these cars for years now and they know what they are doing, I think you will be alot happier and safer from what I've heard.
