I agree but reckon 100K is about the limit. Things can start to add up after 150K which will come around pretty quickly. Unless its an absolute steal, pay a fraction more and get somehing 50-100K for the best car/deal.

Again (might be wrong!) my understanding has always been that as long as you keep it to the level it was when it was released, all good. BUT most states have Leg'n that says you cannot remove cats etc under any circumstances regardless of vehicle age? Eg: if it didnt have a cat, fine to drive, if it had one (regardless of age) not OK to take it off, and will be unroadworthy?

It was just a light-hearted joke JetS as to why the OP might be here........ FFreak I agree, 3k for a system will never be "worth" every $$$.....................but you pay more for the best in anything in life so if you can afford it, sweet, if not, buy something else which is still great anyway.
