  1. Just wanted to add I had the same problem. Only when you turbo started to spin up, hot or cold, a ticking/rustling leaf/plastic bag sound coming from the engine bay. There was no really noticeable loss in boost. Problem was the exhaust manifold where it bolts onto the turbo. One of the studs had nearly worked its way completely out. Tightened it up and it's all sweet.
  2. Well I just had a turbo back exhaust (and other unrelated bits and pieces) installed as well as a tune. About 11psi and I gave it a squirt in 1st. I hit the clutch and there was a big hiss of air escaping from somewhere. Now ever since the boost is really loud and every time the turbo stops winding there is the same hiss of air. I will try nipping up the bolts tomorrow to see how it goes. I couldn't see any loose hoses without getting any tools out.
  3. There is heat shrink out there that has a particular glue on the inside. When it shrinks on your cables it becomes airtight. Ask an electrical supplier like haymans. I have only seen it used on larger cables so getting something smaller might be difficult. In any case it is a much better option then crimping.
  4. im wondering if anyone in brisbane has spare wheels sitting in their shed they want to sell cheap asap. My car is sitting off a highway 100kms from home after hitting a pothole at 100kmph. 2 tyres blew out and it wasnt a fun night.
