^^ all up that's over 700 bux worth of equipment. I would think I would need the touch screen overlay (as the O/S on the mini pc) is designed for tablets but the rest seems heavily overpriced. Any other ideas out there, is it time for me to start tinkering

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has managed to get a hdmi port running in the BF. Only reason im asking is that during the week I picked up one of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3rd-Generation-MK802-II-Android-4-0-Mini-PC-Google-TV-Box-Internet-Wifi-Player-/130753067692?pt=AU_MultiFormatMediaPlayers&hash=item1e717d7aac. In short you plug this into any hdmi port and it will boot up the android 4.1 OS...which in turn allows you to watch movies on it, stream music, games etc...... so basically its the quick way to get a carpc running

Update: got the valve stem done this morning, so now running 19's all round. Without removing the battery or do doing anything special I took it on the hume and we are GOLDEN!!!!!! no gearbox issue, it was the sensor that tells the car that its running on an angle and it wouldn't upshift above third whilst in Drive, has made my morning..who would have thought running mismatched tyre sizes on the same axel can cause such grief -

Sam- the bf goes so strong and I'm hoping ford were on the money...bjc- looks like I'm gonna get a 19" spare. Rednose - the new tyres go on this Saturday but to satisfy my curiousity I'm getting the valve stem done on my old 19" to see if it fixes the shift problem tomorrow morning and all I do Is highway driving so I'll give it a good test....although this Happens on general driving not WOT -

im just surprised there is a sensor which detects it, he mentioned the abs sensor ...basically from my understanding is that the drive gear will not upshift when in 3rd of higher if the car is turning state.... -

well had it looked at today the issue was due to having a 19" rim on the front right and the factory spare 17" on the front left (valve stem popped of that's why I have mismatched rims)...Ford explained due to the size difference the the car thinks its constantly turning therefore wont allow it to move from 3rd to 4th whilst in drive, which explains why I can make the decisions and move into 4th using perf mode.... as soon as I put the 19" back on, It allows me to shift as normal..so I'm replacing all 4 tyres with Michelin pilot super sports :) -

rolling diameter is within 3% so I wouldn't think it would cause a prob -

^^^ haha ...I got one more thing I wanna add, I normally run 19's but my front left valve stem cracked so im running the factory 17" on the front left (this was 5 weeks back) and since then ive only done 20ks on it ...coincidence that there is a 17 on FL and 19 on the FR -

hard not to stress, its all I've been thinking about ...my car was tuned by herrod's and I haven't had any work done for close to 12 months it nothing that's been changed recently, if at all....I'll try to relax and wait til Monday now -

I've been running 287rwkw for almost 12 months, so the box has had to work a little harder...what has me puzzled was, the last time I drove the car 4 weeks ago it was fine but when I went to take it out this week I noticed oil on the floor under the box and then this issue.....im still sit in hope its not a rebuild but if so what extras do I need to strengthen it? -

Thanks for the quick replies, If it is the clutch pack does that require a gearbox rebuild or can they be changed? Or same deal withe mechtronic can it be replaced without a rebuild -
evening all,had an issue today with the zf 6 speed auto in the xr6. in short I have no issues in 1st or 2nd but when in 3rd it wont change to 4th...3rd gear just revs out. I have backed off and accelerated again but it wont engage 4th. if I use the performance mode I have no issues going between all gears. I had it an an auto place and there scanner was unable to read the error codes. anyone heard of this type of issue or the cause of it ?? it sounds electrical to me, possibly a solenoid. oh and its booked it Monday to get diagnosed but im curious what it maybe and what to expect

spinr33...your on the money mate, I just wired the orange to constant power and it allows you to change colour and store it...without constant power it would only use the default colour and wouldn't change, im surprise the 12v for dash lighting doesnt allow it to at least change the colour....As I ran the wire directly to the battery, will it drain it or is there any constant power near the cig lighter I can splice into?? ..thanks again all for your help

thanks for all the quick replies....there is an orange wire I haven't connected yet which is listed as: connect to batter (+) for LED memory..but this wouldn't be the one for the colour change I would have thought? there is a white wire is for 12v dash lighting what is spliced into the cig lighter..the wiring reads the following : red - switched 12v black - ground white - 12v dash lighting green - to oil sender orange - to battery for led memory

Hi Guys, Due to one of oil pressure gauge dying I went out and brought a new saas boost gauge and oil pressure gauge. I have mounted them above the ICC and they light up and work correctly. the issue is there is a button on the back of the gauge that changes the LED colour of the gauge face and that doesn't change from the factory bright white light. when I plug the gauge harness directly to the positive/battery/lighting cables straight to the battery it works and changes to blue,red,green etc....any ideas why the cig lighter wont do it ? and where I can wire it up correctly?

is the power steering fluid low in the reservoir?

is it leaking a clearish oil under the pump and dripping all over the crossmember... if so its the pump or the hi pressure hose

thanks FG_G6E, if you could locate a part number that will assist. I have managed to locate a pic of what the key head transponder looks like ( attached) To use the flip key you need the following transponder Ford BF: 4D62, but 4D60 is compatible. They are pretty cheap on ebay, so I have brought them to verify they work, which may save someone else a few bucks down the track instead of having to buy a whole new key Just for interests sake, here is the one I purchased http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/170545209430?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649, I don't endorse them and wont know if it works until it arrives in 2 or so weeks time

ive got two standard keys but to splice them open to check the chip is not really possible. once you cut a standard key open you can stick it back together, unlike the flip key which can be opened

It's to suit my bf, so it's the same key as the fg and territory ...got the key from a mate clearing out his up after selling his a few months back

Hi guys, I've got a flip key for the xr but the transponder from the flip key side is missing..therefore I can open the doors/ boot etc but cant start the car with the key. now I have managed to work out that the transponder chip id is : 4D-62. does anyone have a pic of the key open so I can see the chip to make sure its the right one before I go and buy the chip (might work out a lot cheaper then ford and even cheaper then ebay as well, here is the pic I have http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TRANSPONDER-CHIP-ID-4D-62-chip-Subaru-/261065462543?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item3cc8b6d30f.....thanks in advance
