Thanks for the info. I was leaning towards the twin 2.5, then the 3.5 X-Force like you've mentioned, haha, got a feeling it'll be a on the day desicion, but these cars are low to start with, not sure I'm keen on an exhaust hanging lower.. hmm,, desicions desicions..

👍👍👍

Hahaha, everyone's the comedian.. Nice work boys Well I'm definitely not making my own, unless do you suppose some PVC pipe might work? 🤔 This one looks alright, different direction to X-Force by retaining a twin pipe setup but seems decent https://www.mrcperformance.com.au/Venom-ford-fg-xr6t-sedan-twin-2.5-stainless-steel-cat

Hi Guys and Gals, I'm curious what peoples experiences are (For Turbo Models) with different brands?? The two that keep popping up for me are 'Manta' and 'X-Force'. Significant price difference.

Hi @k31th I sent off to Tapatalk again. Said I don't know what it means, but the guys have upgraded the backend to version to 4.6 and require an update from the Tapatalk plugin side for everything to work. He said he wasn't quite sure the technical side but has forwarded request onto the app development team 🤟 -

Yeah @Puffwagon top tip on the springs.. Along with Walbro intank pump, first port of call.. 🚢 Whilst we're here and talking springs, any preferences or not that important? I need to stop, but I can't, I quit smoking, but can't quit more HP.. 😅 Hmmm.. oh well, here's to the next stage 🍻

FG G6ET MK2 Standards are 245/35 R19. I have no idea of the offset? Looking at rims that are 19 x8.5 +36 Any brainiac know if that's an exact match?
-
@k31th Honestly the dude must have been high or something 😳🙄 blows my mind. Yes hoping at least some attempt made to put clip on..
-
Hey @Puffwagon OMG am I glad I double checked everything 😳😳😳😳 I was absolutely fall on the floor astounded. Car been running like dog. Double checking actuator, have a look at the picture of what the mechanic did with my new actuator (clip wasn't even attached on the flapper, probably popped off) 😳😳! I rotated front housing to correct position, used original Garret bracket, popped on new actuator and set rod length, hopefully it's sweet. Couldn't believe the shortcuts taken.
-
@Puffwagon thanks buddy. I think I'll just live with the front housing looking odd, not pointing directly up, if it's not going to make any difference. As for the oil line in, it isn't dead centre, but it is on top, just off a little, seeing as that's not going to be critical, guess it stays too. Thanks again, that's a fair few hours saved. 👍👍😎😎
-
Howdy, You get what you pay for. Lesson learnt. Mechanic has installed turbo with the front housing not aligned. I'm going to loosen the bolts and rotate it to align properly and shoot straight up. See the first pic, Unbelievable 🙄 @Puffwagon or anyone that can advise as per below? My concern is the centre. Do the oil lines look right? I can't remember if it's meant to sit top dead centre for oil feed? See second pic looking from the back forward.
-
Yeah thanks @k31th,, I was looking at the install instructions just now, bayonet holding them goes in first, then slide em in to holder, so going to have to make sure light is casting down towards road... Thanks again for the tip,, any further suggestions appreciated..

Advice Needed for Diff Bushes and Tune in Sydney
SydCrazi replied to menaceG6ET's topic in G6E Turbo
Hi Guys, Just thought I'd add what I found. I was quoted 'approximately' $800 for supply and fitment of SuperPro Diff Bush Centre and sides on FG Falcon G6ET. This was from ZOOM Automotive in Riverstone NSW.- 9 replies

** Final update ** Found the problem. Cracked piping from intercooler cold ❄ side. Will replace piping with Plazmaman or Process West. Will it need a re-tune with just piping replaced??
-
Well thanks again. ** Update ** I cleaned out boost solenoid. Still same problem. So either boost leak, but I can't find it, as all pipes seem good,,, or the wastegate is stuck open at 13 psi.. Turbo sounds normal, it has solid boost until 13psi then sits on that and the car feels weak as hell after that,, revs continue rising,, boost does not... I might try the connecting turbo front nipple direct to wastegate,,, is this a fancy way of saying bypass solenoid?? This will rule out solenoid completely I suppose.
-
Thanks!! Where is the boost solenoid? I'll get under car and see if I can move actuator as well. I'm guessing boost leaks need some sort of pro test,, any place that does a pressure check at good price in Hawksbury or Hills area Sydney?
