  1. thanks for the response, mine is a 2010 as well sedan and like yours has the ford badge on steering wheel, ill let you know of my results once all finished.
  2. G'day BJ, I have my f6 going in for a similar mods in a weeks time, what year is your f6 ? I am now concerned about my own valve springs from what I have read I thought the fg's were sorted. can you scan in your dyno sheet so I can have a look ? what torque are you now producing ? do you know what power/Nm your car was producing before the mods ? whats next in the way of mods
  3. has anyone had a factory ford reverse camera added to there FG F6 after purchasing. as im looking into it and wondering if the wiring lume would already be installed for the reverse camera to connect too ? or do you buy that in a kit form, camera & wiring lume seperate + installation

  5. my best so far is 7.8ltr I do a lot of country driving, roxby downs back to adelaide but as an average mid/high 8's. As far as k's out of a half a tank of 98 octane 415.3ks the balance of that tank was mid 600k's. F6 is stock. Its white so maybe that's the reason hehehe
  6. Hello gentlemen, allow me to start by saying im no mechanic & im not sure if this is appropriate, but maybe it might give you another idea or option ??? I have had the same problem but with my motorcycle its 2000 Suzuki TLR ( the engine only had 25 thousand k's on it ) cold start no problem once to operating temp and im off the throttle ie coming to a set of traffic lights or idle. The revs would drop and then the engine would cut out, but it then would start straight away with a single push of the start button, no error codes nothing ????? After nearly 9 months of dyno tunning & replacing various parts & tolerence checks + electrical , it turned out I had some issue with wear inside the throttle body alloy casting, once the engine is hot one of the butterflys lost its tension ( sorry as im not sure what to call it ) it would close causing the engine to shut down. When my Mechanic showed me the problem visually ( again sorry if I dont explain myself well ) he put both alloy throttle bodys ( 1 borrowed ) side by side he then asked me to, by hand rotate the Actuator ??? forward comparing the 2 throttle bodys my original started off with resistance then as I continued moving the Actuator forward it lost all tension,causing the butterfly to close continuing forward it would open again and give me tension all the way to fully open. I hope this helps in some way maybe leading to other possible sollutions, I just thought id share my experience with a similar fault ... Cheers Mike
  7. for those who have relocated battery & changed intake , have you noticed any problems for example noise ? other including is it defectable as the vehicle didnt come out factory in this location ?...... maybe im getting old as I dont want to draw attention to the vehicle

  9. thank you all, for the info so far it would seem no one has had any issue with the manual box other than it being a bit noisey I can live with that and with Jake F6 giving me the an option on gear box oil, thanks again..
  10. I still would like to hear from real people with experience ( not what ford claims ) with there manual gear box's but yeah some info would be on the ford site.
  11. looking for some feed back with regard to the fg f6 gear box/clutch , can it cope with the turbo power ? is there a better clutch for day to day use ? is the gear box noisey ? does it run out of power very quickly in 1st gear ? any common faults I should be looking for ? does any body know the difference in weight between the auto/manual ? highway use in top gear at 110kph what are the revs ? is the manual more or less fuel efficent than the auto ? is the tail shaft in 2 sections ? is the diff ratio different to the auto if so what are they ? any special additives I should be using in gear box /diff ? Having a manual, does this have any effect on the traction control vs the auto. Any recalls from Ford with gear box issues ? any advise will be appreciated sorry to ask so many questions, if there is some things ive missed or you have experienced please add. cheers rubberman

  13. Oh is there available even after market, once the F6 F6 has a towbar removed lets say is there a plastic cap to fill the hole ?
  14. can anyone here confirm that there is a difference between the BA & FG towbars I heard one is longer than the other ?
