  2. I got my ute back last friday and im happy with it.... for now ahahha. Been driving everyday for and after work as you would when first getting your car back!!! I have it tuned at 280rwkw @ 12psi.... need the actuator, font mount and fuel pump to do a lot more damage I guess. Probably wont happen till next year though see how it goes for the time being make sure it stays nice and holds it! Now I just have to have lil more control otherwise ill fry the tyres.
  3. sorry 06 BF MKII ute 6 speed manual these have the ZF box right?
  4. Its a 06 BF MKII ute
  5. Hey All Ive seen a few comments on some threads about these fords being 'clunkers' and I assume its got to do with that nose coming from the rear? When I first bought the ute from ford and told them about this noise which I heard regularly, they asked me to show them but every time I brought it in for warranty to show them, I couldn't get the car to do it again. it does come and go quite often and im sure someone would be able to fill me in on what this noise would be and is it normal and do other also have the same problem? although now, it doesnt seem to occur as much as it used to?
  6. well I've had my ute since 30000km and in 2 years racked up 80000km on it.... since owning it though my starter motor, alternator, and even battery has all been replaced!! the timing chain tensioners also sh*t it self so I bought the kit and had the tensioners changed plus timing chain about 2000km ago. I service every 10 000km and have full log book history and when I can try and change oil every 5 in between services I guess you could say its an everyday driver... but as mentioned driven around Aus a couple times as I used do some work internationally... my clutch and fly and exhaust got striped and replaced today, injectors tomorrow with growler CAI and then off to the tuners so if all goes well have it back tomorrow night or worse case scenario would be on Friday... once complete ill update everyone on how it went n the power pulled.
  7. yea I think I wont get much more then 300-350 but that's what this forum is for.... im after everyones advise and opinion.. my engine is on 110 000km but about 30-40000 are HWY km as its driven half way around australia and back a few times.... we'll see how it goes.

    Bottom End

Hi Guys I have a mkII xr6t ute build apirl 06... I've read a lot of topics about the june builds having the typhoon bottom end... what would be the chances of my april building having the bottom end, is this sedans only or applys to utes as well and what is the major difference between the xr6t bottom end and foon bottom end
  10. I would suggest to wet and dry 1200 light sand, then spray and etch primer undercoat then again another wet and dry 1200 light sand and then spray paint matte black 1 coat, light wet and dry 1200 sand again and apply the final coat of paint......... without the etch primer it will 100% fall off or chip away... especially doing it yourself with a spray can etc..
  11. no worries, well tomorrow my ute is going into the shop and should be complete by Friday... once complete ill list whats been done and how much power I pull form the tune with my mods.
  12. Hey all. I have an 06 mkII xr6t ute. I have recently invested in 700cc injectors, ss xforce 4.5" dump with 3.5" cat back, growler intake... now being 110 000km on the dash and a lot of fun as a stock ute, my clutch has burnt out too which is being replaced including the fly... now as I do have a 110000km on the dash what would be the chances of my motor blowing up with these mods plus a tune as my mechanic + tuner think ill get around 400 rwkw .... im concerned as the engine has done quiet a few kms... My question is on all those vehicles out there with 300-400 rwkw how many kms are on the dial and how long have you been pushing this power without blowing any internals. thanks all
