  5. I had a ford technician from take it for a drive on friday and he was going though some thoughts this brake shudder issue he reckoned id already solved the cause of the original problem and my tyres just needed a good balance. ginen though I reckon hes spot on because the shudder only occurs at 100 and above and is constant. so gonna give it a shot cause I have a friend who runs a tyre shop and can do it for free hopefully that's all it is now. for your question though I just accepted that the risk im gonna take if I do that sure it could happen but all I can do is just make sure I find one in good nick and looked after. current car has proven to be costly to service and fix and not that reliable. even now my transmissions starting to play up despite only being replaced 10000km ago. im just sick of having to take it to the machanics all the time. and spending my hard earned cash (which I dont have alot of being an apprentice). car in thinking of getting has a good reputation for reliabilty and performance plus got a mate who has one and swears by it. have been to pedderes and they found nothing
  6. had the rotors replaced under warranty again today. brakes still shuddering decided ive had enough gonna put the car up for sale and get a jzx100. shame really cause its a dam good looking car just cant afford to waste any more money =(
  7. well from what everyone has said here machining the rotors are my next option will let yous all know if that fixes the problem once and for all hopefully 60,000km of brake shudder since buying it will come to an end.
  8. the brake master cyclinder has been replaced and there has been a improvement in the vibrations but they are still there my last options I can think of are the tyre rod ends or the rotors are simply warpped again im gonna try these options at next service if that fail to fix the problem the car will go up for sale. becomeing to much of a money pit to me
  9. im having the car put in for a new brake master cylinder on friday I think this is the cause because when the car was on the hoist at the mechanics the brakes kept the front wheels from spinning freely simply put I dont think the calipers are being relased fully as rotors are brand new will let yous know this weekend if this fix works
  10. I have a O5 BA XR6 ever since ive owned it its always had brake shudder had front bearings done, new roters(done twice under warrenty), new pads, and new tyres and plenty of wheel balances, last service the mechanic spun the front wheels when it was hoisted up and noticed the wheels didnt spin freely so they took apart the calipers and freed them up. But this also did not fix the problem. Im now considering selling it and buying a import cause its costing me to much money to fix with no results and im that fed up with the sudder. if anybody has an idea whats the problem please tell me
